Iowa is awful, right? I shouldn't be worried, right?

What a silly thing to say.

Why? Coming into the season, I had this down as a sure loss, but PSU is better than unthought and Iowa is worse

Fine but you said Iowa is awful, they're aren't that great but they aren't awful, and then you said you shouldn't be worried a game being played in a building that Penn State hasn't won at in quite some time.

Plus, a statement like "I shouldn't be worried" implies that Penn State is really good. They aren't.

my goodness, you're unbearable.

iowa sucks. and if alabama was playing iowa, i would say their fans shouldn't need to be worried. penn state, loser to ohio and virginia, hasn't quite reached the level of counting road wins in the big 10 before they happen.

This whole thing is making want to root for Iowa, which really, really doesn't agree with me.

I love that everyone roots against PSU now. Makes every win that much better

Which means PSU and Illinois will be going to the same number if bowl games the next four years

Fortunately for Illinois the school isn't defined by its football program.

That's pretty telling, considering *why* people root against Penn State.

Telling of what? That people can't separate the current team from the actions of the former administration? I think it's "telling" that people are actively rooting against a group of students and coaches that had nothing to do with Sandusky

You getting all smug about people getting an icky feeling about a school that harbored a child molester for years is a little gross.

I'm not smug about anything.

Rooting for this current team =/= supporting child rape, no matter how many times people say it

Yeah, Sandusky was the only party at all culpable and everyone else is just a victim. I feel bad for the players and new coaches, but the school deserves the derision it has gotten and will continue to get. PSU as an institution earned this, and those who come in the next few years will have to wear it. But don't worry, fewer and fewer good players will be wasting their time signing on for it.

And ftr, I said I would be rooting for Iowa because you are making such a twonk of yourself in this thread, not because of pedo-gate.

Who said that?

No one said that.

But a reasonable response would be to quietly wait this dark period of your school's history out, not take a "your hate sustains me" heel turn stance, which in this case, comes off about as badly as possible.

Lots of discussion here about a team that played a dreadfully boring brand of football to begin with and is now incapable of actually competing for things.

Stop enabling them and get Penn State off of ESPN2/ABC please.
