Game 4 - BEARS @ Dallas Cowboys - MNF 7:30 PM

Everything I've read so far points to Forte returning this week, unless something new has surfaced in the last 12 hours or so. I assume the working out of Grant is just because Bell sucks.

Everything I read hinted he may be back by this week, up until yesterday. The hints have been dropped that Forte will not play this week, and going by the injury it would make sense if he did not play.

The schedule may work out for Forte to play. I was thinking the injury was a 3-4 week thing if a high ankle sprain. Being hurt on a Thursday night and having this game on Monday night would mean 18 days between the GB and Dallas games. If the injury is truly less severe than a high ankle, then I don't see why he couldn't go unless he can't get on the practice field by Thursday.

@AdamSchefter

As @mortreport is reporting, an agreement between NFL and NFLRA is at hand and both sides will work to have officials working this weekend.

I am really surprised this line is only 3.5. Mike Tice's offense has looked completely unimaginative, not to mention unproductive. Cutler looks like crap and the RB situation remains in flux. Dallas has been sloppy the last two games but they handled the Giants with relative ease and nobody plays well in Seattle. I have no faith betting on the Bears with only 3.5 points this week.

But in the positive column for the Bears, the Dallas O-line is as bad or worse than the Bears, and the Bears D-line has shown they can take advantage of that.

Evan Rodriguez sprained his MCL on the opening kickoff vs. Rams, tried to play through, then pulled himself out.

"I'm lucky it wasn't a lot worse," Rodriguez said of the knee injury. He hopes to be back for Jacksonville but wants to be smart about it.

Unsure bout Michael Bush's practice status, but word is he has a shoulder injury (AC joint). Bush wouldn't confirm it when I approached him.

Haha, our running game without Forte and Bush?

Yeah I'm with jersey, this Dallas game has a good chance of being a bloodbath.

Running backs just don't matter that much.

You can pretty much just plug in a guy there and be fine.

I'm not all that keen on our offense without Forte being a receiving threat

Yeah. I'm beginning to wonder if this was a bad move.

Its always been a bad idea, because Tice is not an up and coming offense mind trained under a previous great offensive mind. The hope was that having Bates around and not having Martz around would be good enough.

Yup. Just another wasted year with Cutler.

Exactly what I was thinking too. We're [expletive] away the good years of Cutler

I can't believe we're pissing away Cutler's prime like this. Jesus, they don't make it easy to be a fan that's for sure. No protection, ever. Only now obtained a receiving target. But yank the playcalling so it doesn't matter.

Maddening.

Funny how the Colts game seems like a distant memory now. I'm not hitting the panic button quite yet. The offense usually found a way to adjust and rebound from bad games over the past couple seasons, which could possibly be credited to Martz. We'll see if Tice can pull off something similar. Although ultimately I'm fearing what most people already are: that Tice is incompetent as an OC/playcaller. So far Martz did more with less offensive weapons.

Impressive. They'll need to keep it up this week, for sure. I think we need another shut down effort from the D to come out of there with the W.

Who's the better QB? Cutler or Romo?

http://espn.go.com/chicago/hot/?id=8427166

Dallas guy response:

....crybaby...teammates hate him....tons of ints....quit in nfc title game

Oh, and Chicagoans don't know anything about QBs and havent seen enough to judge what a good one looks like. Also basically implies that Romo is on pace to be in the HOF

What an idiotic response.
