Glad he kept Shark in line for the W.

You shouldn't care about that dumb stat because it's dumb.

Like really really dumb. Like dumber than almost any.

Who pitches the 9th? Russell?

I'd imagine so.

I think I have to follow through with this Len thing; the last time I made such a pledge it was promising to go to church every week if the Cubs won a game in 2008. Well, that game turned out to be the Aramis walkoff homer against Milwaukee and the whole going to church thing lasted about two weeks before I gave up and everything's been awful since.

Usually, yes, but in a season like this stats, are all we got, be they of the practical or superficial variety .

[expletive] it, they should give the role back to Marmol. If he can thrive in the closer role once again for a few months, he could build up his trade value. After that, they can experiment.

If it was somebody's potential 300th win, or a retiring pitcher's potential last outing, I could see caring. But Shark is 4-3 on the year and 16-12 for his career, so I can't imagine any reason to care about whether or not he is in-line for the win.

If anything, more wins for Shark this season will just make him more expensive next season.

So next time you go back to church it's to baptize baby Len?

I don't see this happening. It would require Mojo to leave his mom's basement at least twice.

GD had Cashner hitting 102 on the first pitch to Soriano. Why'd we give him up again? Oh yeah, Hendry guy. That and Rizzo.

But the moment was ruined by the three-minute delay while he tried to sew his shoulder back on.

This guy with the brutal left hook out of nowhere!
