I know it is only the 4th game, but Sveum is not very impressive. I really thought the approach at the plate would change, but this has been an aggressive Cubs team so far.

It's pretty hard to change an aggressive hitter to a patient one.

This^. It's pretty hard to change guys approaches when they've gotten to the majors with them, the change to approaches is going to start in the minor league system and probably more with the low-mid level guys than even some at AAA (Rizzo, Jackson, Vitters).

Plate discipline is a skillset. You can try to teach it, but you can also try to teach Hayden Simpson to throw 93 again. There's no guarantee of results.

Anyway, Travis Wood is perfect through three and Volstad has been shaky. Glad we give out jobs based on spring training results.
