Vitters is in the linep, so I guess yesterday was just a really quick day off, or he was sick. Good to see anyway.

Rhee was great through 5 but tired in the 6th. Searle also let in an inherited run to make Rhee's outing look worse.

Rizzo with a 3 run shot to right!

:good:

Also: It was off a lefty.

It also tied the game in the bottom of the eighth.

And Jackson just tripled home the game winner.

Rizzo with a 3 run shot to right!

Per the PBP guy, it was a monster shot.

Michael Burgess has also been off to a hot start, although I seem to remember him doing the same last year as well. I won't put too much stock into it, but it sure would be nice if he could establish himself as a legit power hitting corner infield prospect.

Jackson, Rizzo and Vitters have gotten a hit every game haven't they?

Yes, but Vitters had a day off and has exactly 1 single in every game.

Rizzo has 2 multi-hit games out of 4.

Jackson has had multi-hit games in 3 of 4 so far, with a walk in 3 of 4 games, and an XBH in 3 of 4

So, how long until Beliveau gets called up? If he keeps this up, and if the Cubs keep having bullpen problems, it can't be long, can it?

Yeah, I think Beliveau will get an early callup. I hope we use a ton of these guys just to try and find 3 or 4 that look like they'll stick for the future. Use the whole year as an audition process basically.
