Iowa's shooting almost 50% but since they can't rebound and keep turning it over it's only a 3 point game. I have to imagine Illinois is going to improve on 26.5 % shooting. I'm scared now.

Insert an awful lineup consisting of five backups for no discernible reason when you have momentum.

Par for the course for Iowa. A lot of bad luck for them this season, a lot of it the fault of their own coach.

It wasn't like we just went cold, that 1-14 start was because of truly horribly shot selection. I have no idea what they were doing or where Joe Bertrand disappeared to last month.

 

ETA: Not defending their performance, just saying it's not like law of averages is due to help us as long as we take 20 foot fadeaways for no real reason.

I had held out hope that Joe would be able to step up a bit next year, but I'm starting to think he is what he is at this point. Hopefully between Hill, Nunn, and rice we can replace DJ and Brandon's offense.
