Not sure how to handicap tonight's game. VCU is obviously going to bring a lot of pressure defensively. If IU can handle that pressure I think they take this due to having a superior offense.

 

Haven't really seen anyone pick IU in this game, but I can understand that.

 

Smart is going to coach circles around Crean but IU's got more talent. Should be a good game. I think IU will win, but I picked against VCU every time last year and was wrong.

I can't wait until Texas decides it's done with your conference and your winning conference USA titles. You still are butt hurt that Missouri is more appealing than you?

 

Also last night out here proved to me that KU fans like to pretend they're the most elite team, but they know they aren't deep down. They were all so horrified at the thought of MU making a final four, why? I heard a few KU fans say, "this proves Self is far superior to Haith, when did he ever lose a first round game like this?". Gee I don't know Bucknell and Bradley in back to back years? And really that's what you would use to determine who the better coach is? It's Bill Self, he's the best coach in America and this [expletive] fan base doesn't deserve him.

Apparently the boosters have told MT that he needs to think big and has $4 million a year to work with. You can't turn that down if you're Smart.

I don't really understand it at all. I think this is a great matchup for IU. Let them press all game, IU should get plenty of open 3's and a few Cody dunks in transition. Now if we totally crap our pants against the press and turn the ball over, yeah it could be an ugly game. Or if we go all Kansas and shoot like 10% from downtown.

As irritating as it was to have Hightower bring his unique brand of officiating to a Mizzou game(for the first time in like 2 years), he is not a reason Mizzou lost. Norfolk State had the game of their lives and made all the open, contested, open for good reason, and circus shots that they needed to.

i kinda want indiana to win tonight so i'm not tortured by the fact that isu (had they somehow been able to beat kentucky) would have only needed to go through a bunch of double digits seeds and a baylor team they already beat to get to the freaking final four.
