And you know this how?

Considering he was tweeting about taking the flight. Seeing sights in NYC for the first time. All at the same time as other bears. Then an hr or 2 later. He's tweets that he'll miss chicago fans.

they may try to get him to the practice squad, in which case he's still an employee.

I thought there were limits on how much you had played and/or times active on gameday pertaining to practice squad eligible. Am I just way off there? That old CBA?

No, I mean the part about not having $$ and such. An organization such as an NFL franchise treats its focus employees like that? Really??

I take everything I wrote back, maybe the Bears dumped him into the the Hudson with nothing more the a life sized image of Sulley Sullenberger and the remains of J'Marcus Webb's 1/2 eaten Nathan's Famous.

So the Trib is reporting they asked him to take a pay cut to $700k and he asked to be released. He would have made 1.26M. Can't say I disagree with the decision. For a 3rd RB whatever drop off isn't worth it for the extra salary.

I can't tell yet if minnesota completely missed that the second part of that post was some sort of quote from/reference to Burn Notice.

Bears cut Kahlil Bell

After taking the team flight to NYC.

When you're cut, you've got nothing. No cash, no credit, no recent decent job history. You're stuck in whatever city they decide to dump you in. "Where am I?" "New York City." You do whatever work comes your way. You rely on anyone who's still talking to you.

This looks like a single post from CIN, quoting only butters

No, I missed that. For whatever reason the quote part doesn't show in the initial post when I use tapatalk.

Even so, I still can't believe that's how an NFL team would treat a player.

There was no quote tag. He was just referencing a TV show. Obviously, he thought people actually watched Burn Notice and would get it.

The Score is playing bits of a Cutler interview with Zaidman that will be on tonight during the game (halftime?). Pretty good stuff. Jay played it pretty nice about Martz, and definitely wanted to see O-line improvement.

Tice wants both Forte and Bush to run for 1000 yards. Each.

http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/14686110-606/despite-upgraded-passing-attack-bears-still-committed-to-run.html

When he weighed his options — begrudgingly accepting that he wouldn’t land a massive contract befitting a starting tailback — Michael Bush wanted an NFL home where he could work and win.

So when he arrived at Halas Hall for a free-agent visit, Bush was fascinated when new offensive coordinator Mike Tice informed him that he wanted two 1,000-yard running backs.

“He said he wanted to do it,’’ Bush recalled Tice saying, “and I said, ‘Well, you got the right two people.’ ”

Seriously, I mean that's nice, if you are playing fantasy football I guess, but I don't get the relavance to the overall success of the team.
