So the 3rd preseason game is the one thats supposed to be most like regular season game conditions?

I couldnt watch the first half, was the play as bad as the stats make it look? I hate the Gaints, they have our number, even in fake games.

How long do you think the 1st teams will be out there in the 2nd half, given that they've apparently looked so mediocre so far? IIRC, usually they go 1, maybe 2, series in the 2nd half.

Who the hell takes the third preseason game like it's [expletive]?

?

I give up, what's being censored here? Yes, the third preseason game is the one where the starters play the most. It's the closest thing to counting they have in the preseason.

Is that what he's trying to say? lol, no ones adjusting their expectations based on a preseason game, but poor play is poor play and can be discussed without losing the perspective of what this game ultimately means. And what Careless said.

Jeez, wtf is with all these drops? I think I counted 4 drops on this drive alone. Granted some of Campbells passes have been inaccurate but they are still catchable.

put me in the shift carimi to the left side, move louis back to RT, c williams to LG.

Nah. The time to try that wouldve been weeks ago. They didnt allow a sack. This was probably the best pass rush we'll see all year. Webb and Spencer will get by.

Too late for that. Aside from the 2nd round pick and despite how early it still is, all indications are that this was an Angeloish type draft from Emery. We should have either done more free agent damage or drafted anyone but Shea at that slot.

All he preached was how he wanted to draft immediate impact players and his picks were the opposite of immediate impact. Even a rookie WR needs more time then other positions to develop.

Yeah, because Cutler is far too used to running away from DEs that run past the line unblocked.

i'm ok with the draft. i like jeffery and rodriguez a lot, i think hardin is a specimen. i'm not sold on mcclellin yet.

I love Jeffrey don't get me wrong. But rodriguez is a smallish TE (project), Hardin never played Safety in his life (project) and Shea is undersized, lacking strength and experience at DE (project).

it's also kind of ridiculous to assume that the bears won't make changes at this point in the season.

i wouldn't call rodriguez a project just because he's not the starter, they will utilize him at a couple of positions this year to help immediately. hardin doesn't need to be an impact player because we have conte and wright as the starters. shea is a dude that they've been rotating on on third down to rush the passer and have an impact there. make no mistake, any pass rusher they drafted would have been utilized the same way.

there is a learning curve for every single rookie in the NFL, but just because that exists doesn't mean that every rookie is a project. the season hasn't started yet, easy there.
