What are the odds of anything more than a stopgap LT ever hitting FA though? No clue what the FA class looks like for next year, but those guys will either get locked up or franchised. Too early for me to be remotely intelligent about next years draft either, but a quick glance at Walterfootball's early mock at least appears to set up decently for us. Doesn't appear to be any franchise tackles, but 5 or 6 guys they are currently projecting as mid to late 1st rounders at least. FWIW, he's got us picking 27th, so at least he thinks we're going to be very solid.

Odds are pretty small, but as of today..... Jake Long, Duane Brown, Ryan Clady, Sebastian Vollmer, and Jermon Bushrod are all FAs in 2013, with the oldest of them being Bushrod at 29. All are top 10 LTs in the league.

It's such a broken record at this point. Every year we look at our line heading into week one, and we know it will be a struggle. And then we hope we can get by for a year because surely next draft we will use some picks on OL.

Then we struggle, as predicted...

Then the draft comes, and there's no execution on addressing the glaring need. Lather rinse repeat.

I'm sick of it

Clady never really was as good as people thought he was. His rookie year he didn't give up any sacks, but he gave up more QB pressures than anyone not named Orlando Pace (ironically enough as a Bear). The rest of the line was really good, and Jay Cutler was really good at avoiding the one guy that would get free. Maybe borderline top 10, probably more so in the middle of the pack range. That being said, he's a clear upgrade over Webb.

I wonder if that's Halas or Soldier...that looks to be the same place they filmed the Grossman/Moose "I'll vote for you if you vote for me" commercial from 06.

Oh I didn't see that Urlacher was dating Jenny McCarthy but apparently they have broken up.

He sure knows how to pick them.

Maybe that was the personal issue.

Brown got 6-53.4, with 22.08 guaranteed today.

It's Moon Mullin, so take it FWIW

Brian Urlacher - LB - Bears

CSN Chicago's John "Moon" Mullin reports Bears MLB Brian Urlacher's recent left knee surgery to alleviate swelling and soreness was not the first of the offseason.

Two sources confirm Urlacher underwent a "non-invasive" procedure shortly after the season finale. One source added that Urlacher required an additional surgery in the spring. There's no indication that any of the procedures were more serious than a scope, but it's obviously a concern that Urlacher isn't fully recovered after eight months. The Pro Bowler reiterated his belief Thursday that he will be on the field for the season opener versus the Packers.

That pretty much jives with my opinion that the Colts game is a 5th preseason game. :hello:

She ran to the press to announce she put him in the friend zone. Trashy.

It jives with my opinion that Moon is a moron.

I'd guess that one was more Rotoworld's fault than Moon's.

I don't buy it. Urlacher specifically said in his interview Canellis the night before his surgery that he'd never had a scope done on his knee before.

I'd imagine he'd be in on the cover up/lie too if there was one.

I don't understand why they'd cover up offseason surgery. If it's a scope, nobody would've really thought twice about it.
