Boston's scrubs beat Miami's scrubs, so the Bulls have mathematically clinched the 1 seed in the East.

Just the way I drew it up at the beginning of the season.

Miami leads Boston 34-28 at the end of the first quarter half.

Meanwhile, the first quarter score of tonight's SAC-OKC game was 40-35.

If the New York Knicks don’t advance beyond the first round of the playoffs, I’m hearing they’ll make a major — repeat, major — push to lure legendary coach Phil Jackson out of retirement. With money being no object, the scuttlebutt is the Knicks brass may offer the “Zen Master” a four-year, $50 million deal.

Somehow, in a game that Orlando absolutely has to win, they're leading Charlotte at home by 1 in the 3rd quarter.

Durant scored 32 tonight so Kobe would need 38 against the Kings tomorrow to win the title.

I'm guessing Kobe comes out gunning and if he's hitting his shots, he'll definitely get enough to win it.

That would be cool to see. The Zen Master finally coaches a non-championship caliber team.

Why did they have to win so badly? I get avoiding the Heat but how much do their odds really increase by playing Indiana? Does anyone really expect them to compete in their series?

I guess they have some decent role players so this isn't like that season where Washington went from best record in the East at the ASB to a .500 team in the 7th seed after losing arenas (when that meant something) and butler (all star year). But it's not that much better either. Indiana couldn't be more thrilled with the draw they are getting, except maybe having to face Miami instead of Chicago in the 2nd round.

I know the NBA schedule was sorta squeezed in there and all, but really, who thought scheduling the last day of the season up against the first round of the NFL draft was a good plan?

It's not like the last day of the NBA season is that important anyway. Several teams resting starters and several other teams actively tanking. This year, it is a really boring day. The Knicks need a win to clinch the 7 seed, but they play Charlotte. The Grizzlies need a win to clinch home court advantage over the Clippers, and they play the hobbled Magic. Denver needs a win to get the 6 seed, and they play hobbled Minnesota. It would be a big surprise if any of those teams lost, and the only other race is Atlanta/Boston HCA (and tiny things like Chicago clinching HCA in the Finals).

Yeah, but really there's no way they could have known it would fall that way.

But nobody cares about the last day of the NBA season ever. NBA playoff "races" are about the dullest thing in sports.

NBA Finals home court:

- Bulls win a tiebreaker with Spurs

- Thunder win a tiebreaker with Heat

- Pacers win a tiebreaker with Lakers

- Clippers win a tiebreaker with Hawks

- Grizzles win a tiebreaker with Hawks

- Nuggets win a tiebreaker with Celtics and Magic

- Mavs win a tiebreaker with Magic and Sixers

- Knicks win a tiebreaker with Mavs and Jazz

- Jazz win a tiebreaker with Sixers

Brooklyn Nets new logo. Minus the blue tape, obviously.

That's very underwhelming.
