Kobe's going to sit out tonight.

I'm pretty disappointed because Kings tickets are fairly cheap on stubhub (thanks Maloofs!) and was thinking of going. They announced yesterday the starters probably wouldn't play but Kobe might and I still would have gone if he did. But with Kobe out, I don't want to pay to go see a bunch of reserves.

Did you not get the memo?

Bynum makes Abdul-Jabbar look like Jon Koncak!

Funniest subplot of the night: In order for Golden State to keep their first round pick, they have to lose tonight, win the coin flip for the 7 spot, and not have the lottery pick a team behind them.

Early thoughts on playoff matchups? I think Mavs-Thunder is easily the most interesting first round matchup, although Atlanta-Boston and Memphis-LA Clippers should be closer.

Denver always seems to play the Lakers tough so that series could be good also.

Congrats to the Bobcats for wrapping up the worst winning percentage in NBA history.

I could see Memphis winning that series in 5

There's no way the Lakers take OKC to seven unless one of OKC's big three gets hurt. That's a five-game series otherwise.

Are you assuming the Boston-Chicago series as everyone at full health here?

I was really really close to going that way too, but then everyone would yell at me.

lol...probably Mr Simmons.

In all seriousness, I just wanted to know if that pick was because he didn't think that Rose was healthy.

No. I think Rose isn't going to be 100% for the playoffs even though he gets the first round to work out the rust and get back into shape. If Rose isn't close to 100% I think the Celtics win the series. And by saying 100% I don't mean necessarily all health wise, I mean from where he is at a basketball feel/skill stand point. He's missed a lot of time, it's hard to come back and just have the touch/feel for the game right away. Even if he is Derrick Rose (who if anyone could do it, I'd probably put my money on him).

Ok. I disagree....but I understand that line of thinking.

Yeah both teams at absolutely full health 100%, I think the Bulls in 5, 6 at most.
