I think it's time to trade for an actual 2 guard. I don't think I'm overreacting by saying you can't depend on Rip come April and May.

What option do they have, though?

Maybe Allen, but I think Mayo and Crawford are realistic targets.

I didn't realize Crawford was available. That's probably the best option.

Someone on RealGM was saying that Bulls were talking about trading for Ben Gordon. I don't think it would happen at all but I think I would like that.

We challenged Miami in every game of the series last year with Keith Bogans as our starting SG. I'm not scared.

Short of securing a Dwyane Wade clone, I don't think the Bulls will have enough.

Mayo is not a realistic option as long as Heisley is the owner of the Grizzlies.

I don't know if I like this argument....the Pacers could easily say "We challenged Chicago in every game of the series last year without David West on the team. I'm not scared of the Bulls"

Bottom line is, we shut them down, down the stretch, something that good teams do, which is exactly what Miami did to us. If the Bulls and Heat didn't have the exact same finish for 4 straight games, I might be willing to consider that we were right there with Miami and just had bad luck. But its pretty clear that they found a way to shut us down when the game was on the line, and until we win one in that situation, people will continue to believe that Miami is better.

I don't think they are. They beat us in OT and after a fluke comeback. One play pretty much goes are way we win those games. People seem to think that Miami is light years ahead of everyone and I just don't see it. I see no reason that the Bulls can't beat them even if Rip is hurt.

I could see a rematch not even taking place though this year. When Boston and New York are the 7th and 8th seeds it's going to be a tough road in the playoffs for anyone.

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that when I said "people will continue to believe Miami is better" I meant the general public, not Bulls fans.

How realistic is Allen? I have a hard time seeing that one happening too.

Don't bother me with details. Get him.

Well, it be great if it was possible. With him they probably only lose a couple more games the rest of the year.

We have one great offensive player. He happens to be very small. When a much taller/longer player who can adequately match his speed and athleticism guards him (Andre Iguodala, Paul George and LeBron), he struggles because their length keeps him in front of them. Unless he hits even more absurd shots than usual (like against the Heat in that close loss earlier this year) or unless whoever's man those guys leave to cover our point guard (usually Deng) can punish them for leaving him, the Bulls will struggle offensively at best and lose consistently at worst. We're still a consistent scorer away from contention, peeps, don't kid yourselves.

If the Bulls dont find a way to get past the Heat this year, this team will be blown up in order to secure a solid #2 option. That is my belief. One of Noah or Deng will go.

How in the world is trading Noah or Deng "blowing up" the team?

Damn it, I keep on forgetting about the beef that the Memphis owner has with JR. Scratch that.

Gordon would be a good option. He's overpaid, so I'm not sure what we'd have to give up to match the salaries but we know that he can actually knock down an open shot. I'd trust him more than Rip right now.

Im biased I suppose because hes a favorite player and staple of the Buckingham Greens fantasy basketball franchise, but Stack would be perfect. Duncan credited him with being a leader on that Spurs team. Hes able to handle the rock, score, defend, hed be absolutely perfect. Hes generally regarded as a great teammate. Hes pretty much had to score on most teams hes been on, and I think if his volume went down his efficiency would go up and if things get real in a strip club parking hes a good guy to have around.

This would be a dream come true.

Shouldn't somebody point out that Mayo is the 6th man on the 5th seed in the West before they try trading Ronnie Brewer for him?

Well, they have been in discussions to trade him multiple times in the last year (and they almost did it for Josh McRoberts and a 1st rounder), and the thought is that they are going to lose him this summer. So he's definitely a candidate to get traded, but they will have to get something back that can help them beyond this season to be worth it to them.

Rumor I saw on another site that supposedly came from RealGM. Take with large grains of salt.

The first rumor, says that Orlando is offering Dwight Howard and Hedo Turkoglu to the Bulls for Joakim Noah, Luol Deng, Omer Asik, and Kyle Korver.

We dont have anything to give them that would help them beyond this year. Our best bet is to get a guy a bad team wants to just dump because he serves no purpose for them. Like Ben Gordon.

So:

Howard

Boozer

Hedo

BG7

Rose

If we get 'good hedo' thats a prettyy good team.

Not that I wouldn't do that deal, but who's our backup center after that trade?

Taj Gibson in high heels.
