Think of how awesome KGs column will be in a year. "Barfight, anything is possible!"

There's a perverse part of me that hopes the Bulls amnesty Boozer and sign KG. Just to watch the backtracking. That and I'm afraid we dump all our cash in extending him for far too long (i.e. more than 1 year)

Just for clarity's sake (since this is the second time in a couple days somebody's mentioned amnestying Boozer) but the Bulls aren't going to have much cap space even if they do amnesty him. They have 48.8 million committed between Deng, Noah, Rose, Hamilton, Gibson, Butler, and 500,000 of Korver's contract. So they could have up to 8-12 million in space, but that would involve waiving Korver, Brewer, Watson, not re-signing Asik. Since they are very unlikely to waive Watson and almost certainly not going to waive Brewer either, amnestying Boozer gets them under the luxury tax but that's about the only benefit for next year. It might help clear some space for the two years after that depending on what the Bulls decide to do with players like Asik and Gibson.

any opinions on standing room at the UC? Tickets are available, not sure I can justify the $40 though.

That's disgusting. I can't believe you would actually joke about this. There's no way Rose would wear a suit that costs less than 2 grand let alone less than $300. You've crossed a line that I never thought would be crossed on this forum.

If you do end up going, go early. I tried this once and got stuck watching the game on TV in the stadium because there weren't any good spots.

Yeah... it really sucks Rose went down, but I am more upset for future implications. It almost didn't seem like it affected this season as much as you would think since he hasn't seemed the same since coming back. He wasn't as explosive and for the most part seemed to have to settle for jumpers. I know he made 3 threes in game 1, but we obviously can't count on that from him every game. Clearly, we aren't better off without him, but he wasn't the same player as last year. I was hoping he would get back to form by the time they played Miami, but I wasn't very confident it would happen.

Why wouldnt you have felt confident? The dude was getting his timing and rhythm back. Every game he played since coming back from that ankle injury he looked better and better. He showed flashes of explosiveness on Saturday that I didnt see in the prior two games. There is no doubt in my mind, barring injury (which obviously occured), he would be been at least 90-95% of last years Rose by the time we played Miami.

Also, Rose makes a huge difference when he's on the court even if he's not doing much. It all comes down to how the opponents defend the Bulls. Rose is the only player on the Bulls that can create his own shot and is the only elite scorer on the team. Because of this, even if Rose is struggling, teams focus a lot of their defensive game plan on Rose and have to gamble a bit on other players like Korver, Rip, Deng etc. It opens up the whole offense to have him on the court.

I understand he was getting timing back. I didn't care if his shot was a bit off in the games. It just seemed that it was more than timing. He didn't seem very explosive. When he tried to make a move around a guy, it seemed like he had large exaggerated motions instead of just blowing by them. I was just worried he still had soreness--whether that was from the groin, or ankles. He definitely may have gotten back to form, I just wasn't confident in it.

I know he makes the team better regardless, which is why I said they aren't better without him. I guess that although it was a horrible blow, I was already prepared for the fact that he wasn't going to be quite himself. I still think they should make it to the ECF--but obviously the chances of them winning that will be pretty slim now. I am almost frustrated more as a basketball fan than a bulls fan that we won't get to see that series at its best.

Not sure why we don't let Korver work with this lineup. Brewer is a zero on offense.

Because Korver is a zero on defense.

I'm not overly worried about Korver's defense when Asik and Gibson are in. You need scoring.

"JOHN LUCAS IS..... .. on fire... he's playing."

Stacey got caught without a catchphrase

He has Gruden disease. You like him at first and then you're like, "Wait he's going to say that crap on every single play."

He may have Gruden disease, but if Gruden was annoucing for only his local team, nobody would care. Overt homerism belongs in that forum.
