Yeah, I woke up to the Score talking about the boot. Ugh to both the boot and the Score.

Every time Rose gets injured, he manages to finish the game and we find out about the injury on the off day. I wonder when he tweaked the ankle and how long he played on it, and how much extra pain he might be in because of that?

Thibs rode both rose and dent for too long in that game.

If you expected something different from Thibs, that's really kinda your fault.

"Everybody knows that when you go out and play you always run the risk of something happening," Bulls executive vice president John Paxson said Tuesday on "The Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000. "It's just unfortunate because he had been out for the 12 games and came back. But there's nothing you can do to protect against ankle sprains and things like that. Guys tape up and go. We're not sure what that means for [Tuesday night]. He's obviously sore and that type of thing, and we obviously aren't going to risk anything with him."

Rose didn't participate in the shootaround today, and is likely to sit tonight.

Rose said he suffered the injury during the second quarter of the Bulls' overtime loss Sunday. Rose believes he stepped on Landry Fields' foot on a drive.

"You know how I am: If it’s a close game or one I want to get, I’m going to continue to play," Rose said. "I ended up making it worse. It’s just an ankle sprain. Hopefully, I’ll be over it in a couple days."

Cant say I know how you are Derrick, you've missed 40% of the season with injuries.

Sorry that was just frustration talking. I know if this was an important game he'd be in there. So glad I bought a 6 game Bulls ticket package this year, and Rose has been injured for 4 of them now, with the Bulls record going into tonight 1-4. Garwilly will back me up that those are the games I got.

Win:

That ugly game against Atlanta the 1st week of the season when the Bulls scored 28 points in the 1st half, trailed by 20 in the 2nd half and somehow won something like 74-72.

Losses:

Indiana

Portland

Houston

Denver

Bulls are 43-14 right now and have Knicks and Miami at home, followed by Detroit on the road and Washington at home on a back to back. Then it's Charlotte and Miami on a back to back on the road. Then, it's Dallas at home, followed by Indiana on the road and Cleveland at home in another back to back to end the season.

Miami is 40-15 right now and get Boston at home, followed by us on the road. Come home for Charlotte as the 2nd half of a back to back. Then, they get the Knicks and the Nets on the road as a back to back. They come home for Toronto and us, again on a back to back. Followed by Washington and Houston, at home, again back to back. They finish the year with the Celtics and Wizards on the road. My hope here, is they split with us and lose once or twice more. Boston and the Knicks seem like the best bets here.

With our 9 games left, total "pie in the sky" for me is 7-2. That's splitting with Miami and losing to one of Dallas or Indiana. If Rose misses more time, that record's chances of happening clearly evaporates and probably costs us the top seed. But, tonight is a must win, with or without Rose. Lose this game and the Heat are in the driver's seat, in my mind. And while I don't have a lot of hope to beat them to begin with, I think our chances are damn near zero, if we don't have home court.

Four injuries this season, after being hurt in the playoffs last year, is a bit scary to me moving forward.

I feel like that comes with the territory when you do everything in an offense.

Yeah, and this is just a twisted ankle. I don't think it's really a major concern.

yeah, no big deal

This one is easy for me. It all boils down to having to restructure and re-arrange this team. If the Bulls value Rose as their #1 scorer and superstar, they need to give him a legit offensive option to work with. He cannot bring the ball up and drive down the lane getting whacked for the next 8 or more seasons 80% of the time. He won't hold up.
