Hanie wasn't great but he wasn't atrocious either. He started making some throws and everytime we got some momentum the Oline [expletive] the bed. I'm not sure which injury is worse right now, Cutler, Forte or Chris Williams. But either way, you lose the 3 best players on a mediocre offense and it's probably going to be pretty bad.

I agree with Sulley that almost everything went wrong for the Bears today. Don't get me wrong, they made a ton of mistakes that were their fault but from Fortes injury to invisible defensive holdings to keep a drive alive to not calling helmet to helmet to the miracle hail Mary to Williamd deflecting a ball right to a chief. Just wasn't our game.

Christ is this right? 3 points scored on 4 trips to the red zone. That's bad. Everytime we got into scoring range the line gave up.

Dickerson just said Forte out at least a month with knee sprain

The Chicago Sun-Times' Sean Jensen reports Matt Forte's knee injury is believed to be a sprained right MCL.

Jensen reports "further tests are necessary," but it appears Forte has dodged a bullet after there were rumors that he had torn his ACL. He'll still be staring at a multi-week absence with a sprained MCL, but could be back in as little in two weeks. How much time he misses will ultimately depend on what degree tear he has. Stay tuned.

How was he not atrocious? Completed less than 1/2 of his passes, including missing several open receivers on SHORT throws. Even a couple of the sacks he should have gotten rid of the ball.

Is Forte going to be considered a [expletive] for coming out of the game with an MCL injury? Hanie blows. Hester's decision making on fielding punts is at an all-time worst for him. The Martz news leaking in the middle of the game is very odd, especially with the playoffs still as a possibilty.

No, I'm pretty sure only over-sensitive Cutler fans are going to say a word about Forte and his knee.

When this regular season is over, the Bears best WR, RB, QB, best offensive lineman, and most talented offensive lineman will have missed about a combined 35 games.....including the latter 4 probably all missing the last 4 games.

Yeah, the season is over. The Chiefa were maybe the worst opponent on our schedule and if We cannot beat then without Jay, who can We beat?

Twas a fun regular season while it lasted. I think this team would have been a lot of fun in the playoffs had they remained healthy.

So I think this has to shut up the meatball Cutler haters right? With him We were a top 5 team arguably. Now without him, we are one of the worst teams in football. Jay was carrying this team.

This game shouldn't shut anybody up. People should be throwing a fit at the GM and management for putting together a horrible ass team.

This team has an old defense, no above average wideouts and one of the worst o-lines i've ever seen.

He's a big part of it. most of it even. I think people are understating Chris Williams injury. The offensive line was playing well when he got hurt and he was graded as the only above average player on the line (I believe). Now it's regressed to the point where we give up 7 sacks to the team with the least number of sacks all year. Is Hanie partially to blame for some of them? Of course.

I just heard this on te radio: the Chiefs had 13 sacks all season coming into today and had 7 today. Wow.

But yeah , Jay should probably ask for an extension after this one. It's clear he's the most important player on the team.

It wasn't a horrible ass team until they lost Cutler and Forte. The GM and management can't be blamed when you lose your starting QB, starting RB, and 1st round pick all in a matter of weeks. They were above average until all the injuries set in.

We haven't added an impact player through the draft in years. We have so many holes to fill in the offseason, I'm afraid this team will be mediocre for awhile as the aging players start to decline drastically.

What do we even draft first? I see the mocks all over the place.

The draft should focus on a olineman that has the ability to project as a starting left tackle, and if one isn't available at our pick, then an impact WR

Poor Green Bay. Remember when they had to play without their pro bowl caliber QB for that one game last year?

I hate the fact that the Falcons lost, the Giants are losing, the Cowboys might lose, and the Lions will probably lose. Everything resets itself. Then again, the Texans were one of two teams that I think could beat the Falcons the rest of the season, the Lions were expected to lose to NO, and the Giants were expected to lose to GB. The Bears lost to the worst team on their schedule, so now they have to pretty much beat Denver, Seattle and Minnesota to make the playoffs.

None of that has to do with your comment of this being a "horrible ass team". For this year this team was above average team with Cutler and Forte and were starting to click before the Cutler injury.

Well I wont rag on the defense really, they played a strong game overall that basically shut down an (admittedly terrible) offense for most of 4 quarters, basically gave up just a long field goal drive (that was admittedly, again, almost a backbreaker) and stifled them for the rest of the game, for the most part.

Coulda caught a couple interceptions here and there, but what can you do? I'm surprised no one has mentioned the almost magically magnetic Dwayne Bowe fumble that returned right into his hands after popping in the air among 3 Bears

I'm upset about Forte, but not as devistated as when Cutler was out. For one Barber (if he can stay healthy) is not a bad second option...certainly better that Hanie. But also because the Bears might actually get some chances to run with opposing defenses not focusing their entire gameplan on stopping Forte.

Then again, with the QB and offensive line performance today, I think Barber is probably the best individual player that opposing teams should focus their gameplan around stopping.
