This style of post has really run its course.

Yeah. Getting old.

There are other ways of expressing that level of emotion.

Yeah, but I'm running out of underpants.

Yet more disturbing visuals. Thanks.

I think you're being a little overambitious here. They won't get Wilson... :)

As much as I love Greg Maddux, my impression of him is that he really doesn't want to work every day as a Major League coach. He has all the money he needs and plenty of free time for golf and I question whether he would truly be motivated to serve as a pitching coach.

But he's such an intelligent guy that he may want to use his skills everyday. He's been hanging around not doing much the last few years so perhaps he's bored at this point. Also, there is the allure of getting to do something really unique with his brother.

He wants to be in on the party when the Cubs win the WS.

There's an article from a month or so ago that says Greg does not want an everyday job in baseball.

http://www.dailyherald.com/article/20111005/sports/710059583/

Maddux has always said he had no intention of jumping into a baseball job until his kids were out of high school (his son is 14), and even then the notion of full-time employment was unappealing.

Yes. The speculation is that he may change his mind to work with his brother.

Right. I think the circumstances could help change Greg's mind.

But do you really want a guy coaching who had to be convinced into doing it?
