Coronas? C'mon, Theo.

Eh. A Corona with a lime may not be my favorite, but it does me just fine from time to time.

It's for beer drinkers who don't like beer.

Saying its piss water is giving it a compliment. But if Theo likes it that's fine with me.

That's nonsense. You can enjoy a good beer and enjoy a corona as well. Personally I wouldn't drink it in the freezing cold fall weather, it's more of a first signs of summer thing for me. But it's fine.

We'll agree to disagree on that one.

+1 Def a summer beer when it's hot out since it goes down easy and refreshing, kinda like drinking a water or Gatorade with alcohol and you can slam a bunch of those bad boys. Now when it's fall and winter, were talking about the Oktoberfest beers and dark ales and lagers. Those will warm you right up. Personally, if I was Theo and budget was never an issue, I'd atleast go with a Stella or Hacker, but it's Theo, he can drink whatever the hell he wants. Even if he was caught with PBR or Natty Ice I'd still love him.

Come on are we comparing those unsuccessful douchebags with our Dream Team that will not fail?

I'd say they were fairly successful.

successful at being douchebags sure. they were built to win a title and anything less than winning the title is not considered a successful year. So thus far they are batting 0%.

that's a silly, emotionally driven statement. it was basically those 3 guys, a little james jones, and a bunch of garbage and they got to the 6th game of the damn nba finals in their first season together.

Ill stop after this because its off topic but so you are saying that LeBron and Wade are happy about their successful season last year? Or that they should be happy that 2 of the top 3-4 players in the NBA along with a top 25 player ni the NBA could not win the title. I don't care about how the supporting cast was. You put together those 3 talents and the expectation is to win a championship and they did not so it was not successful. OK Im done. Should have just used the real Dream Team like I tried to.

While deeply troubled by the team's September collapse, departed Red Sox general manager Theo Epstein had been contemplating -- some say desiring -- a move out of Boston for more than a year, according to sources close to the situation.

People with knowledge of the situation say Epstein's often-tempestuous relationship with team president and CEO Larry Lucchino became contentious again in the last 12-14 months. While there was no single confrontation or "discussion" that pushed Epstein away from the Sox, they talked of a continuous series of give-and-takes that created more complications between the two.

Sources say Chicago had identified Epstein as the possible head of its Baseball Operations department long before August, which is when Cubs owner Tom Ricketts declared the search as being underway. Those who are knowledgeable about the search, and of Epstein's restlessness, pegged the two as ideal fits and said - in essence - it was, in the words of one, "love at first sight".

I think they'll be ok with going to the NBA Finals every year and winning a few.

FINAL DECLARATIONS

don't photoshop our guys who haven't done anything yet onto other guys who haven't done anything yet

corona sucks

A lot of beer sucks. I still drink copious amounts of it. I've never went to a kegger and been like, Bud Light guys, seriously? Refine yourselves. While I pull out my craft IPA and toss my scarf around my neck.

If they replicate what they did last year every season, it will be a failure

That's certainly the most likely outcome.

just sayin, anything less than a championship will be a disappointment until they win one

The next person to post about the NBA here gets 24 hours off!

Just kidding, but please get back to Theo in this thread.

If we start talking about Theo again it might get sexual again

If that happens, the 24 hours off may be beneficial to the person in question.

I don't think Derrick Rose is happy about his team's season last year, either. But I still consider it a success.

I'll take my 24 hour ban now. :(

I'd have to agree. I wouldn't consider myself a Corona drinker at all... and I've probably had it less than 10 times in my life...but there are times I've had it where it has hit the spot. Like in the early spring when I'm trying to pretend 59 degrees is actually 80 degrees. Or when it actually is 80 degrees for the first time or two.

We'll agree to disagree on that one.

I won't.

Saying it's the beer for people who don't like beer is stupid.

If we are not agreeing to disagree then what is going on? Are disagreeing that we agree.

People started putting lime in the corona because more often that not it soured (i.e., skunky) from being in a clear bottle and exposed to light. The lime takes away the skunk a little.

I agree that we have a different opinion.

Anyway, I was going to say something pithy with a touch of sexual innuendo about Theo, but I can remember what it was.

I'm just so happy as a Cub fan that he and his team is here. I love the idea of a "Cub way", that is taught from the low minors on up. I wish I could work with the player development people. I have some ideas about teaching discrimination skills in the batter's box.

Yeah I never got the impression that Corona was any sort of less manly beer. It's not MGD Ultra 64 or something. Then I'd be worried. And if it was a Mike's Hard Lemonade, then I might have to rethink the whole Theo Epstein thing.
