I seriously can't get over how weird it is that I referenced those extremely obscure posts exactly 3 years to the date after they happened.

Jon's not interested in the Cubs anymore the last time I heard from him. Something about hopelessly incompetent front office. But this was back in like 2006, and he remained apathetic for 07 and 08 so I think he's being legit.

 

Edit: Wow, he hasn't posted since May (I believe Jon is still a big Bulls fan) or logged in since August 12th. I thought maybe he'd log on to check out the Theo news but I guess we've lost him as a fan.

 

But that's ok because we have kingkong vs. godzilla

It appears that won't take very long and there likely won't be much of a transition. That's kinda weird for someone who was a big enough fan to post thousands of times on a Cubs message board and collect highlight clips and all that. I understand temporary apathy, but losing interest in something that interested you that much altogether is...dunno. I can't imagine losing interest (for that reason, especially) to the extent that I wouldn't instantly regain it with this news.
