Maybe just let Toews do it, I say in hindsight.

Are you talking about the penalty shot? I don't think Toews was on the ice so he could t be selected.

4 losses in a row. 1-4-1 in the last 6. Slide continues.

Score 2 goals in the first 5 minutes then nothing for the rest of the game. Goal called off, penalty shot missed.

Hawks Blues and Wings in a 3 way tie for 1st. We could easily go from 1st to 6th in a matter of 10 days.

Did they ever say what happened to Sharp?

Despite the loss, there are a lot of positives to take away from this game.

Crawford played well. He had no chance on any of the goals but stopped and more importantly gloved a lot of shots.

Frolik didn't look that bad at Center.

Bolland was a lot more active than he's been.

Hayes and Shaw looked ok.

i know it seems ridiculous to say this for a team that is 24-13-5, but when do we start consider making a coaching change?

this is the second straight year where the team is visibly unable to put out a consistent effort on a nightly basis. last year we wrote it off as a cup hangover. what now?

The obvious answer is you ride it out until/unless the team goes to a significantly worse record and playoff position.

I don't think Q is in any danger this year, regardless. He won a Cup. That buys him time to turn things around, even if it isn't this year.

i agree that you wait longer, but the cup is irrelevant at this point. that was 2 years ago. last year i'd say he had a free pass or whatever. the honeymoon is over now.

Who really knows, but I disagree. I would be floored if the Hawks dump Q this year unless they completely fall to the bottom of the standings.

So no bitching about the completely illegal glove move that resulted in the penalty shot because the camera angle was shitty? Should have been a goal and no OT to begin with.

It was the correct call, if not I am sure good ole Eddie Olcyzk would have made sure that all of the viewers understood that the Wings got away with something. NBC needs to stop letting Eddie do Wings games.

I didn't think it completely crossed the line just based on where the glove was when he swept it out.

You know I have to agree with you. I noticed more than once that he was clearly biased. I wouldn't of course usually notice such a thing unless the shoe was on the other foot. That's how bad it was.

I actually wouldn't care if there was something legit. Interference and too many men on the ice are like holding in football. All teams including the Hawks do it. Somehow whenever the Wings do it they are way worse than other teams. It is not just Wings/Hawks games, he does it in almost every Wing game that he does.

Hopefully the Sharp injury actually forces Bowman to make a move. The weaknesses on this team have really been showing during this stretch.

The Sharp injury probably increases the price though of whatever they get.

Could have been much worse. Kruger is skating again, although I haven't heard if he's cleared for contact, this team needs him back as soon as it's safe for him to be.

I'm getting really sick of Dave Bolland. Leddy still making young player mistakes. Hammer maddeningly inconsistent. F Bickell

Glad I'm not the only one who feels that way about Bolland. He's had a couple of really good playoff runs, but he's been a very average player in the regular season. He hasn't had a very good year this year and I think it's more apparent than because of the lack of centers we have on this team.

Hjalmarsson just isn't very good. He's a defenseman that doesn't give you anything on the offensive end and he's made way too many mistakes on the defensive end to balance out his worth. That's looking like a terrible contract now.
