So Corey Crawford has allowed 7 goals on 20 shots in his last 2 games. I mean that's just [expletive] awful, even if some of them aren't his fault.

Game 1: 4 GA on 10 shots and pulled

Game 2 (tonight): 3 GA on 10 shots and pulled

I know the goals weren't his fault. At least not the first two. Just being negative.

That's a weak goalie interference call on Shaw. The monster was leaning out into his path. F that.

lol I keep flipping from the NU game and the Hawks. I knew it was 4-3 but didn't see the empty net goal, and I saw the Leafs put one in with 2 seconds left and thought they tied it for a minute.

Crawford just seems incredibly fragile. A badish goal early and he's done for the game. He'll lose his confidence and net discipline. Start flopping around and taking horrendous angles.

It's become apparent to me as well that the team is losing confidence in him. They can't play the type of style they want to play with no confidence in their goalie.

Worst part he, he is still probably the best goalie between Chicago and Rockford with Salak crapping the bed this year

Salak was pouting, then he was hurt. If he had just worked hard instead of pouting, he'd probably get a shot. After pulling himself from that game though, it's hard to imagine we'd see him up this season. Now they may bring Hutton up instead and hope he gets hot like he did when he got called up to Rockford. He's not a long term solution but the other options aren't exactly great.

By default, yes. He was very positionally solid tonight though still a bit slow around the crease at times. I still think at his best, Crawford is better. He's just in such a bad place right now.

Well, we're winning after 2. And beating Detroit in Detroit is extraordinary. So as of right now, I'm liking where we are at. Just need to play 1 solid period against a good team.

The D has had some bad turnovers today but overall has been solid.

Not getting much help from the wingers in the D zone, as usual. Too much circling around.

But hard to argue with the result to this point. Though I feel like we're going to lose.

Nice win Hawks. 7-3 in the last 10.

Also, Hawks have taken 8 of 10 possible points against the Wings this year, and have not lost in regulation against them.

Still too many worries (goaltending, defense, Toews being Crosby'd) for me to get my hopes up too high, but they have been playing better overall so that's good.
