Cubs baseball is so depressing we aren't even openly rooting against the Cardinals in a tight playoff race anymore.

Cubs currently getting no-hit through 5 by Latos. For those who care/accidentally open and read this thread.

To be fair, it's basically Castro, Pena, and the Iowa Cubs out there

Coleman breaks up the no hitter with a 3B in the 6th! He obviously failed to score as we have Tony [expletive] Campana batting leadoff tonight. Also I didn't realize that this series has big implications on where we draft next year. We currently have one fewer loss than the Padres.

If they were going all kids, why didn't they just put Lahair at 1B and Montanez in LF?

Because Montanez isn't a kid and has little to no future with the organization?

Not the point. They were basically giving all the vets the day off and letting the callups play, as well as Castro and Barney, so why not just give Pena the night off too?

I'd bet money it was because they want to give Pena a shot at 30HR's. Which is fine.
