The fact remains, while I would like to see Aramis next year, assuming they build a winner, if they decide that he won't be back, they probably have decided already, in which case they should be pushing for a trade. He should get us one of some teams top 10 prospects, and if anyones desperate enough, a top 100.

In what way is that a fact that remains?

Opinion remains. Cubs need to capitalize on this failure of a season. Remember 2009 when the Twins claimed Rich Harden but we decided to hang on to him? I know it's a different situation, as the balls more in Aramis' court this time, but still, time to cash in.

How many guys did the Cubs trot out from Santo to Ramirez? The Cubs have had a legitimate 3rd baseman that has been one of the most consistent Cubs in his tenure and we are here discussing what a dime a dozen outfielder that was a Cub for a cup of coffee has to say?

It would be nice if at some point someone in our organization came out and torched idiots like Kaplan and Hollandsworth for their awful, incorrect and racist statements.

I seem to remember Theo Epstein putting some jackasses on blast on WEEI over JD Drew a few years back.

No, not some pissant rant from a manager or coach. I'm talking about someone in the front office pointing out that Ramirez has been our best player since 2004 and he doesn't deserve the heaps of craps he gets dished at him.

Hollandsworth's best year was his rookie year and he's getting uppity about Castro and Barney not getting better. That's rich.

Thanks a lot, Raul Mondesi.

We need less brown players and more scrappy white guys apparently. It's ridiculous how much flack Aram and Z get from the Chicago media. I think it's awesome that Aramis wants to play out his career with the Cubs. He's also been given the right to deny a trade. I don't see what the problem is.

I do not see how you're putting the two of them in the same group. Z is more expensive, worse at this point, and has a habit of going nuts in ways that both harm the team and make for easy stories. Aramis is living up to his contract by playing good baseball and is otherwise basically unnoticeable.

I missed the part where he said that Castro isn't getting better. Did he completely miss, I don't know, the season?

Anyone who rocked a curly mullet like the 'sworth has got to know what he's talking about. I will now defer to him for all future baseball information.

Hollandsworth will always hold a place in my heart having been a key piece in one of the worst Cub outfields I've ever seen.

Dubois/Holly, Cpatt, Burnitz. Our entire opening day OF rotation had a collective .09 WAR. If it weren't for Lee, Aram, and Barrett that team would've lost 100+ games.

‘‘One thing I got to say is I’ve never seen him in the clubhouse, so I don’t know how he comes up with that,’’ Ramirez said. ‘‘He should ask the young guys before he makes that kind of statement. Talk to Barney, talk to Castro, and see what they say. That’s all I’ve got to say.

‘‘Oh, and one [more] thing I’d like to say: I wouldn’t trade my career for his. I think I’ve got a way better career than he did.’’

LOVE YOU.
