For those not watching, Campana just hit a 2-run inside the park HR.

With help from the Cincy LF bouncing off the padding in left, just beyond the Cubs bullpen. Ball bounced off wall and rolled to fence, and the LF stumbled the whole way there.

Yeah, Len described him as a "Soriano-esque leadoff hitter" when he had his AB in the top of the inning and said the Reds want him in the lineup for his bat but it's an "adventure" with him in the OF. Talk about an understatement. As bad as Soriano has screwed up that was just brutal.

Yonder Alonso, huh?. Didnt know they even called him up, but I guess they needed to find some way to unblock him with Votto cemented at 1st. I wonder if they'll try to trade Votto at any point next season. Hes slated to make 9.5 mil in '12 and 17 mil in '13, but considering Pujols and Fielders pending pay days, that will be a steal.

Len was talking about Drew Stubbs when he said that I believe.

Edit: Unless he was referring to Alonso as a leadoff hitter in other games....?

Nah, it was Alonso, because they were talking about they were trying to fit him into the lineup despite him not being an OF for his bat.

I guess I don't get it then, he isn't even batting leadoff

Yeah, that was where I mixed up. That's when they were talking about Stubbs. Then right after that they were talking about Yonder being in LF.

Yonder Alonso's defense on Campana's home run was hilarious.

And now Aramis doubles. No outs.

LOL when I saw that Campana hit a home run, my first thought was "wow he hit an inside the parker at Wrigley?"

First professional (minors or majors) HR for Campana. I would have put money on it being an inside the parker.

OF looks a little dead in areas from the concert, but overall not bad at all. They've really mastered the process of keeping the field in good condition during a concert. I remember how horrible it looked after Jimmy Buffett and I think they waited a full week between the last concert and the first Cubs game. This time it was 4 days.
