Getting this back on track, I will laugh when the Pirates finish ahead of the La Russas.

There is no way this can happen. You guys have too much talent, what the he'll is going on in St. Louis right now?

Its quite unfortunate that The Pirates got stuck with the Phillies at the same time as the Brewers and Cards got the Astros and Cubs. This 1 weekend could very well spell the Pirates doom.

Unless the Brewers and Cards still have to play the Phillies, while the Pirates get more games with the Astros and Cubs

Faaaading. They'll finish at least 6 games under .500.

Derrek Lee and Ryan Ludwick will lead them to the ring

I at least hope they win 82 games this year. Of all pro sports franchises, the Pirates fans (both of them) deserve a winning season and some hope.

Completely disagree. They've sucked for 20 years. Big deal. Pirates fans are Steelers and Penguins fans, and their teams have won multiple titles since that time.

They have a pretty rough August schedule coming up and they look about dead right now. That'd really suck if they manage to rally and finish below us in the standings.

considering that they've spent the last week getting blown out by the cubs and padres, i think any team would be a tough challenge for them right now.

guessing by late august they'll be back to drawing about 35 fans and people will forget that they exist as stiller season fires up.

this just hit me. is pittsburgh the only city where all their pro sports teams have the same color scheme?

Seattle is the closest I can think of with the Mariners, Seahawks, and Sounders

So by your logic, Cubs fans can't complain about the lack of a championship in our lifetimes because most Cubs fans are Bulls and Blackhawks fans, and those teams have won championships in recent memory? That makes no sense.

cub fans shouldn't complain about their team not winning a championship because nobody [expletive] cares that the team you like doesn't win enough. sports are supposed to be fun to watch; stop spending your time whining and ruining other peoples' experience. if it's so hard being a cubs fan, then just start cheering for the yankees and you can see your team win a championship every 3 years or whatever.

No, he's just coming up with a reason not to have sympathy for them. Just like they will come up with whatever reason they have to in order to not have sympathy for anyone else.

Wow, I was simply pointing out a flaw in his logic there. Down boy.

wait the guy who throws a temper tantrum every time something doesn't go the cubs' way is telling me to calm down?

Yes.

And when was the last "temper tantrum" I've thrown here, exactly? It's been quite a while.

Chill, dude. You seem hostile.

So you admit you have(or had) a problem? Then you should be more understanding of Truffle's illness. He needs the support of someone who's been through this.
