Yeah, I really dont like our chance with this pitching matchup, but who knows. It was great to see the offense come to life. Maybe were on to something. Then again, the Padres scored 13 runs yesterday, so everyone has an offensive outburst here and there. It is great seeing Castro hitting the ball again. It was not great seeing Koyie Hill hit the ball if it means that Quade will start him again.

I was hoping that theyd keep Castro at 6, and maybe work him up to 5th in due time. If hes goingto keep hitting, its usually better with guys in front of him.

Or why they wouldnt try to work in Reed Johnson. If the have Baker in the OF, youd think theyd want to just plug in Johnson.

Because even just a brief glance shows that Baker has been a much better hitter against LH pitchers for a while now. Why would you want Reed over Soriano, Byrd or Baker when all are hitting lefities much better than he is? Johnson should be used almost strictly as a PH/defensive replacement at this point.
