After the Chicago Jeffbakers come from behind for a 7-4 victory and jump back over .500, we head to game two of this series in what is apparently a new rivalry. For this game we have perhaps the future ace of this staff...

Matt Garza (0-0, 3.86 ERA)

VERSUS...

Chris Narveson (0-0, 0.00 ERA)

Win this game. This pitcher isn't particularly good. Ours is. Aside from Braun, Fielder, and Weeks, the Brewer lineup isn't particularly fearsome. And Q might consider starting Reed Johnson. If he's not starting against these middling lefties, there's no point in him being there.

Assuming the Brewers don't put up anything close to the ridiculous .600 BABIP the Pirates did against Garza, I think the Cubs win this thing.

I'm thinking 7-2.

Gotta win today. Going against Gallardo tommarrow with one of our call ups I'm not hopeful at all and will gladly take 2 of 3 there. Hope Garza has the 96 MPH fastball and nasty slider today and makes Braun and Fielder look silly at the plate.Lets do this

Really need some quality IP from Garza today.

That we do. The bullpen is gonna be getting worked hard on the Coleman and Russell days.

I don't know about Coleman. As long as he doesn't get absolutely rocked he should be able to pitch some innings because he tends to not have high pitch counts. They're only planning on pitching Russell 45-50 pitches though so the bullpen will need to be fresh for that game.

I'm okay with Reed Johnson starting in RF tonight. I guess he needs to get his at-bats every now and then. Let's hope Garza limits the Brewers' hit total tonight and the Cubs can get win No. 5.

Middling lefties like Narveson are the reason that Reed Johnson is here.

I know this game is on in regional coverage on MLBN. It is this game and Marlins/Astros. Does anyone have any idea if South Carolina will be showing this game or the Marlins game?

Sam Fuld just made one of the sickest catches I've ever seen in the White Sox - Rays game. It might have rivaled Reed Johnson's catch in Washington a few years back.
