Damn. Oh well.

 

Wouldn't have even gotten to that point if the catcher blocks the third strike to ARam. At least the Cubs made him throw 27 pitches that inning.

Blah, its very early but I haven't seen much I've liked from Garza in the spring or the first start.

 

I'm sure he'll get it together eventually tho.

Garza's first start was really good. The Pirates only had singles and didn't hit anything hard. All their hits were ground balls hit in the perfect spot or little bloopers over the IF.

Yeah. No walks so far in nine innings and 14 strikeouts. If everything the Pirates hit didn't find ground somewhere, he probably would have ended up with a great first start instead of just a solid one.
