Does anybody really care if he makes it through anyways?

Not particularly.

As far as I know, the Cubs can't outright Samardzija to Iowa because of the no-trade clause. They either have to keep him or release him.

Thaks for the info. Maybe he can go play football. Oh, wait.

I can't remember who it was(maybe one of the Bruces) but they said that Shark was basically as safe as Dempster as far as making the opening day roster.

Watching him pitch during the game that he blew the other day, it was frustrating to see how much movement he was getting on his pitches and the fact that hitters were still squaring up on the ball.

Yeah, I don't even care about him anymore. Let him go for nothing. It was a good chance to take, just didn't work out. Cut your ties rather than waste a roster spot on him.

"does anyone else" has an abbreviation? really?

No, he shouldn't have tried football. He's made 10 mil or whatever, with no risk of debilitating injury, and he's already surpassed the average NFL career in terms of money and length.

Yeah, many people here browse Reddit or Digg and it is a popular acronym there.

I think his best bet is to buy a bar in Wrigleyville full of lovable regulars, a acerbic waitress, a bonehead countryboy and Kirstie Alley.

I can't really think of another guy in camp that won't make the team that should definitively get the spot over him. He obviously hasn't developed into a dominant guy but I think he can still be a serviceable middle reliever.

That sounds like a great idea for a sitcom.

And he has a better than 50/50 shot of living to the age of 60.

Getting your hair caught in a car door and being dragged to your death can strike at any time.

That is exactly why I force my hair to fall out.
