Don't worry about it dew. Mallett was going to be my pick anyways so I was just joking around. Need a QB and with the others gone it was going to be Stanzi, Dalton or Mallett.

Good to hear. I didn't look into the pick a lot and had no idea if Mallett was the type player Minnesota would go for, but figured it was time for Mallett to come off the board.

Glad a Vikings fan agrees with me.

Really hard to say with the new coaching staff. Some places you read that they love Locker, then the other paper says they don't like him at all. The only thing that seems to be consensus is that they love Gabbert and if he falls at all they would likely try to make a move up to get him. Other than that it's hard to get a grasp on who they like at QB other than Frazier basically flatly saying that they will grab one in the early rounds. The new OC was in Atlanta with Ryan and the QB coach was formerly the QB coach with VY in Tennessee so who knows.

The 49ers select Aaron Williams, Texas CB.

You spelled SAFETY wrong.

??? Aaron Williams can play CB in the NFL if he's in the right system. He can play CB in the Tampa 2 scheme IMO for the Bears...

Not one of my favorite players. I think he could play in the Cover 2, but I still don't want to draft him.

If the Broncos are going to eventually turn the offense over to Tebow, he needs weapons. Brandon Lloyd and Jabar Gaffney aren't likely to repeat their numbers in McDaniels' offense and Demaryius Thomas has had trouble staying healthy. The Broncos have Eddie Royal and Eric Decker as well, but another young receiver would be a nice addition.

So, to add some downfield presence, the Broncos select Titus Young, WR, Boise State. Young and Royal have similar skillsets, but I think Young is a little more of a down the field type of guy who can give the Broncos a big play option none of their receivers really do at this point. Mixed with Royal, Thomas and Decker, Young gives the Broncos options at every level.

The Rams and Formerly Snayke are now on the clock. I'll PM him.

Offensive guard was a glaring weakness for the Rams in 2010. It was mostly Steven Jackson running into a brick wall because of Adam Goldberg and Jacob Bell's awfulness. The Rams still need a play-maker, but the offensive line takes priority here.

The Rams select Marcus Cannon, G, TCU

I have no idea who's still on the board but I'm looking for any good values for players at WR, OL or CB if anyone has any suggestions.

i assume you want a guy who can run a 4.3 40 (wr/cb) or bench press a house (ol)?

Good values:

WR: Torrey Smith (good deep speed), Leonard Hankerson (big, physical possession guy with questionable speed)

OL: not a lot of value here

CB: Curtis Brown (good coverage guy, poor tackler)

Going purely off measureables, UTC's Buster Skrine had a great combine and, I believe, posted the second fastest official time there. He's a corner, but this would be a couple rounds too early to take him. At receiver, Randall Cobb is a really intriguing athlete. Good speed, good quickness and is highly versatile (played WR, QB, RB, punt/kick returner in college). This is probably around the time that he's likely to go, as well.

I laughed a bit when I found out that Smith was from Maryland but then I looked up his stats and saw he had two years better than anything DHB did while in college.

In the hopes that he'll be nothing like DHB, the Raiders take Torrey Smith, WR, Maryland.

Not sure if this is the ideal or best pick for the Bucs, but I can see them drafting this guy if he falls to them in the 2nd round... He got 1st round talent and instantly gives the team depth at TE that they sorely need. Plus it gives Bucs to play some 2 TEs set and will take over whenever Kellen Winslow is gone... There's a couple other guys I can see Bucs picking, but I'm gonna go with this guy...

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Notre Dame

Rudolph might've been the best value left on the board at this point.

The Giants are in another quandry here between two players - Chris Culliver and Marcus Gilbert. Tackle is probably the bigger need, but Antrel Rolle was anything but impressive in his initial season in New York. Gilbert's got intriguing upside, but has short arms. Culliver is a pretty nice physical specimen, but the inability to come in and start immediately would defeat the purpose of drafting him to replace Rolle.

So, the Giants select Marcus Gilbert, OT, Florida. He'll start out developing behind the veteran OTs and hopefully take over either the left or right side in 1-2 years. CCP and Exile are on the clock for the Colts. I'll PM CCP.

The Colts could go so many ways here. I'll let Exile post his thoughts first.

NFL Network just reported the Colts might use their first round pick on a QB. I figured Peyton's eventual replacement would be a no name QB from a tiny college nobody's ever heard of before. Of course, knowing Polian, he might pick that player in the first round just to throw people off.

This might be one of the most difficult choices since we've done this -- the Colts could go so many directions as CCP said. Another offensive lineman wouldn't stun me, defensive line, secondary (safety is especially a need), wide receiver. Safety might not be the worst place to look as only one is off the board -- though, obviously, that's at least partially because the position isn't as valued as highly as others. Quinton Carter (Oklahoma) would seem to be the most likely safety pick. He might not be super fast but seems like a high character, Colt-type player, and should be able to play both safety positions. Because I'm worried about safety next year and think whatever safety they draft (I assume they'll get one somewhere) is going to need to play a good amount, I'd feel more comfortable getting a pretty good one (though obviously sixth-round pick Antoine Bethea is "pretty good"!). I'll go with Carter with this pick, though I don't think that's a lock by any means.

I actually looked at safety first. The first site I looked at had Carter as a mid-rounder but all the others seem to peg him as a 2nd rounder. The Colts could definitely use another safety with Sanders gone and Bullitt possibly being gone as well. I strongly considered the crazy Polian pick of Randall Cobb, but I'll go safe and go with Quinton Carter.

I'll PM truffle.
