plus, it's typically warmer in Tampa than it is in scranton and trenton this time of year. That might be a big part of the decision.

Maybe Prior can make the Single-A All-Star team

I don't see why not. He's already proven his stuff with a record TWO perfect simulated games.

did you invent that joke yourself

I don't even understand why simulated games would help him make the all-star game.

New York Yankees right-hander Mark Prior has been scratched from his scheduled minor league appearance because of shoulder discomfort.

God damnit. I really want to see him pitch his way back to the majors, I hate it when the Universe takes a dump on him

Man, what happened with Mark Prior?

He had a nasty collision with Marcus Giles, and then his manager left him in the game to pitch?

He took a line drive off his pitching elbow, and then his manager left him in the game to pitch?

The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was to convince the world he didn't exist. poop in Dusty Baker's spot in the dugout.

It's late. Leave me alone.

It's just not going to happen. His arm cannot be used for pitching anymore.

Very very sad story. I remember when the Cubs decided not to sign him, many here were worried about the Cubs looking bad when Prior rose to 2003 level again. He has yet to pitch since leaving the Cubs. 5 straight years out of the big leagues. Geez.

I'm very certain he didn't stay in that game.

He collided with Marcus Giles, landed on his pitching shoulder and stayed in that game. His manager abused the crap out of him, regularly using him for 110+ outings for something like 10 games in a row down the stretch when his workload went far beyond what his body was used to handling.

God I hate Dusty Baker. What a scumbag.

No he didnt. He missed a month, which I'd say is pretty crazy for someone taking a line drive off his pitching elbow.

Strangely enough his ERA before the injury was 2.93 and the ERA post injury was 4.07.

That ball off the elbow was one of the crazier plays in sports I've seen as it happened. Not only did the ball hit him in the elbow, but if I'm remembering correctly Aramis caught it off the ricochet for the out.

I could be remembering it incorrectly, but didn't he catch it pretty far into foul territory as well?
