I haven't scanned the middle pages of this thread, but I would have thought the NFL would rather have THIS game in primetime than Jets-Steelers personally. Do they think that the other game is the bigger netional draw? I guess they do or else we'd have the late start time, right?

It all has to do with TV contracts. Last year FOX got the NFC title game in prime time (Saints-Vikings). The year before CBS got the AFC title game in prime time (Steelers-Ravens). The year before that it was Giants-Packers, and the year before that Colts-Patriots (with Bears-Saints the early game). It alternates every year due to the TV contracts.

That pretty much sums up the most anyone is capable of insulting me with.

You know, I really should back off a bit. My wife teaches Special Ed, so for her sake I should attempt to help the people on here, and not mock them. After all, it's the responsibility of people like her and me to attempt to help the mentally disabled, not to make them feel ashamed about their condition. I'm ashamed of myself. :(

Ahh, makes sense. Didn't even consider that. Thanks.

You should be in the "awesome comebacks" hall of fame.

Fixed that for you.

And yes. I agree. I should be.

This chain of posts is basically what's going on your plaque.

The real question is, where will he find such unprecedented levels of attention after this game is over?

Sayers or Erik?

Sorry. I meant Erik.

I'm a huge Bears fan, but the rationale in me suggests that the Packers will definitely win this game. I just don't have faith that we can overcome ALL of the Green Bay defensive talent.

I'm not scared of Rodgers or their WRs, i'm scared of their defense and the amount of Pro Bowl talent that is on it.

If I'm the Bears, I take the opening kickoff if I win the flip. I think it's important to try to score quick and play from ahead. The only thing that scares me about the game is if we get behind and half to throw the ball to catch up. If we can get ahead and run the ball, I think we win.

Is Green Bay and Chicago really a huge rivalry as everyone is making it out to be? The last time they played each other in the playoffs was in the 1940s. Aren't they really just bitter divisional rivals in a crappy division.

Glad someone brought this up. I feel like I'm in the top 1% of diehard football fans and can't remember a single meaningful Bears-Packers game. I'm sure there have been a couple, I just can't remember any. Am I wrong on this?

Reading the rest of the discussion about the GB-Bears rivalry in that chat made me want to put my head through my computer monitor.

I can't disagree. The team that runs the ball best this game wins. To me, that's the #1 factor.
