It would crazy as all hell if we wound up with a Seattle/GB NFC Championship game.

That would just seal the deal for me. Shut down Vegas. Betting on the NFL is an overt act of insanity.

Especially 2 seasons after having the 9-7 Cardinals hosting the NFC Championship against the 9-6-1 Eagles.

I'm starting to feel a little better about the Bears chances at home against GB next week, but I'd still prefer avoiding that scenario, especially since Atlanta is very beatable as Flames just said.

I have no idea why you're assuming the Packers are going to win.

Just the way things have been going. I'd love to be wrong, trust me. Logically I think it makes the most sense for the Falcons to win. However, a 6-seed from the NFC has never made the Super Bowl and if one team is going to change that, it's this year's GB team.

I feel so stupid even saying this because I have no control over the game and I will not be playing in said game. But I am getting that nervous/excitement feeling for Saturday. Have had it since Monday. Please get here Saturday.

i want that feeling but can't have it because we're playing the seahawks, i'll get it if we win and move on

because the seahawks are the awful combination of a terrible team and a team that can also beat us, theres no way i can get up and be excited for it, theres no celebration in winning this game and theres no consolation for losing.

There is no way I can take my eyes off Steelers/Ravens today. This has already been an awesome game and gotta love the hate and chippiness!

I'm very much rooting for the Ravens in this game.

I don't think I've ever seen a coach blow all challenges in the 1st quarter before.

I guess the last one was a tough call, but the first was a challenge for essentially 10 yards of field position.

Exactly. That's why 1) you can't challenge 10-15 yards of field position on the opening kickoff and 2) why the challenge rules need to change. Tomlin lost only one challenge on a call that possibly could have been overturned and now he's out of challenges in a game that seems rife with potential for close/challengable calls.

It does suck that a coach loses a challenge on a win but then again the rules are the way they are so people aren't challenging every mundane play like a play that's worth 10 yards of field positioning.

Something like tennis would be much better. You get a certain number (three maybe?) of incorrect challenges per set and correct challenges don't count so as long as you're correct, you won't run out. That would still leave Tomlin with a challenge to use.

I'm reminded of the Pats winning their first Superbowl after beating the Steelers in a game where the Steelers won two challenges early and later couldn't challenge a forward lateral that went about 60 yards for a td

People seem to forget how terrible and lucky that Patriots team was

Why would you reject first and 5 and accept first and 10?

? It was 3rd and 7 at the time so it would either be 3rd and 2 or 1st and 10.

ah, blacked out and missed two plays apparently

With Baltimore's defense, a two TD lead might hold up.

It certainly might.

And by the way, in case anyone's wondering, Pittsburgh fans are much more likely to be booing their own team in a situation like this (I can just hear my brother in law cursing out Tomlin and Mendenhall).

Players don't sway me very often. It's teams I care about. And Pittsburgh could use a knock down a couple rungs on the ladder, IMHO.

I don't want to see them near a Super Bowl for awhile, and I'll thank the Ravens to do the honors today by holding on to this lead.

Baltimore is just shooting themselves in the foot. Geez.
