Peter King refers to James Starks as "The Phenom from Niagra Falls" in his column today.

Weird how much love that kid is getting for a single (admittedly very good) rushing performance.

I loved that we had a run game in Philly, but I'm going to need more than one good performance before I declare our running woes over.

And I could even understand Packers fans being excited...that's only natural. I just would expect the national guys to be a bit more skeptical, at least...*shrug*

You could always use brandon marshall as your fallback

Only 2 of the 8 "experts" on ESPN picked Atlanta to win.

How much of this is because they feel the Packers will win and how much of it is because everyone at ESPN is praying for the epic Bears-Packers matchup so they can spend the entire following week spewing garbage about the rivalry?

In contrast, 4 of the 5 "experts" on CBSSports picked the Falcons over Packers. All 5 picked the Bears over Seahawks.

I want the Jets to beat New England, but Boston wins the newspaper war.

Also, I don't know what's going on in Seattle but I'm officially annoyed. As UM said, I don't recall ever hearing so many obnoxious things from one fanbase/media outlet before a game in my entire life. Just absolutely zero respect whatsoever. I get the feeling they're still bitter about Super Bowl XL, or something.

Considering all that's been said, I wouldn't mind if Lovie ran up the score once he has the lead.

The funniest thing that has ever been said:

not really

I mean that those goons found it to be the funniest thing ever said. I just watched it silent and uncomfortable.

Falcons were 16th in both offense and defense this season, yet somehow they were 13-3. If we don't beat them, I'm like 95% sure the Bears will.

Get a [expletive] win.

They're the anti-Chargers.

And yet they have the 7th best adjusted DVOA for the year. And their playing in the comforts of home. Ask Seattle how much that means.

I know. Their pythagorean record was 11-5 this year. I'm just saying that they've been a little lucky this year and the numbers back that up.

But of course, we're not going to win because that would be too good to be true.

It would crazy as all hell if we wound up with a Seattle/GB NFC Championship game.

That would just seal the deal for me. Shut down Vegas. Betting on the NFL is an overt act of insanity.

I'm starting to feel a little better about the Bears chances at home against GB next week, but I'd still prefer avoiding that scenario, especially since Atlanta is very beatable as Flames just said.

I think his one game was more of a fluke than anything. It's not like the Eagles had a great rushing defense to begin with and than they had to have been thinking the pass is what the Packers would destroy them with.

What is good about it though is that Atlanta has to think about the run now, at least for a little bit and Green Bay hasn't really had that all year.

If the Starks that played in the Eagles game is for real than Green Bay is probably the best team in the NFC. But I can't see that being the case. Players don't usually do nothing all season and then become amazing against the best teams in the conference.

I have no idea why you're assuming the Packers are going to win.
