but i said this was a trap game. the bears haven't played well in games that they've been expected to win since 2006.

What about the Browns and Rams games last year?

the browns game was akind of a mirage and we didn't exactly dominate the rams.

Rams in 2008, Jags in 2008, @ detroit 2007

My point is that every team struggles against inferior competition in a given year.

Well at least the Lions were beating the Pats last week and proceeded to get their doors blown off in the 2nd half.

Our offense isn't as good as NE's but our D is a lot better. We should be able to squeeze these guys...I hope.

I don't think it will work out that way.

I think we're in a dogfight. It could go either way. We won't dominate the 2nd half.

I feared the defense would come out like this. It's only natural. A shutout, followed by a great effort vs. Vick, then facing a 2-9 team with their 3rd string QB. I expect them to get it together. But I said the same thing during the Seattle game, so who knows.

Yes, the Bears have no chance, down 3 at the half to the Lions, who totally didn't have a lead on the Patriots last week or even the Bears in Chicago on week 1.

How do 5 players blocking 4 players allow 2 guys through untouched to the QB, and then just stand around and watch that fumble happen and do nothing?

It's because:

1) They suck.

2) They figured they could coast through this game.
