seemed like every play in the last 5 minutes portland just dropped it off to aldridge in the post and we couldn't do anything about it

Noah's a spectacular rebounder, above average shot blocker, but mediocre post defender. Kurt Thomas, Taj Gibson and Omer are better and Aldridge just whipped it out on them.

He has since backed off his statements saying it was out of context. That said, the whole team sucked at closing out in time last night.

Btw, if Derrick "Can't play defense" then what the hell was Andre Miller doing last night? Pretending to be a traffic cone?

Noah is a great help defender in the post IMO, but individually I think he struggles against the bigger low post defenders. I definitely think he's been overrated by Bulls fans in that regard. I don't think putting Noah on Aldridge last night down the stretch would have changed Aldridge's performance much.

wow what a surprise, somebody from the portland organization is running his mouth. that whole franchise is a joke. their front office is a laughing stock among other execs because of their ridiculous demands and overvaluing their players, they're team is a bunch of whiny bitches (rudy whines, brandon roy tried to draw a foul by screaming every single tim he drives, and now batum), and on top of that their announcers are homers of the worst kind. they were trashing the bulls all night last night.

 

at one point last night, the portland announcers were talking about how they were "playing short handed" against the bulls (which was true), but then they mentioned greg oden as a guy they didnt have that night.

 

i guess stacey king should have mentioned the bulls were playing without jay williams too.
