No and definitely no. I rooted for the Celtics both times they played the Lakers and wouldn't have a problem doing it again.

I'll be a huge Boston fan if they're playing Miami in the playoffs.

I mostly agree except KG has [expletive] out from every fight ever in his NBA career. When he doesn't have access to his gats and nines he's a [expletive].

i saw a youtube link down there but didn't click on it cause im at work. im assuming it's him punking calderon or frigging jerryd bayless. i dont think i've hated an NBAer more than garnett since maybe reggie miller

The Celtics blow the Lakers out of the water when it comes to having incredibly unlikable players.

Fisher vs. Rondo

Kobe vs. Allen

Artest vs. Pierce

Odom vs. KG

Gasol vs. Perkins

Fisher's nice but ultimately forgettable (except he hits lots of big shots). Rondo is despicable. Kobe vs. Allen, eh. I have a grudging respect for Kobe and I like Allen so I'll give that one to Boston. Artest is one of the best characters in NBA history. There are not 5 worse human beings that have ever touched a basketball than Paul Pierce, let alone played in the NBA. Odom is dumb and as a basketball fan, it's kind of offensive that he's not a perennial all-star and a future hall of famer but he's harmless. Odom is also another guy that KG repeatedly backs down from because he is, again, a coward. Gasol is an amazing talent but not much in the personality department and he's a flopper which knocks him down a few pegs. Perkins is a fine enforcer and unlike KG, not a gigantic coward.

Charlie Villanueva tweeted that KG called him a cancer patient in last night's Celtics/Pistons game.

by the way, charlie v is a [expletive].

garnett's comment was ultimately harmless since it was on a basketball court between basketball players that don't have cancer. i'm pretty sure nobody with cancer heard him say it, so who cares? classless blah blah yea ok whatever, but it didn't hurt anything.

now i'm sure there are a number of kids with cancer who are big KG fans, and now they have to hear that he made fun of cancer patients. why? because charlie v thought it was necessary to post in-game trash talk on his stupid ass twitter.

I'm assuming you don't know that Villanueva has alopecia? Granted he's probably heard stuff like that all his life, but it's still [expletive] to trash somebody for a medical condition. Especially one that effects one's outward appearance. I'm glad he called out KG for that one.

is alopecia is comparable to cancer?

This gets back to the problem I have with the NBA when my team is no good or eliminated early from the playoffs. The really good teams are all so hateable that I can't possibly root for them and the likeable teams that are good are almost never good enough to win a title. The exceptions to this are rare.

Without looking, I'm going to guess Anthony Peeler.

Damn, missed.

For the fact that a lot of cancer patients often need chemo which causes them to lose their hair and alopecia causes one to permanently lose their hair... yes. If you're trying to say KG isn't wrong because alopecia isn't nearly as life threatening as cancer, I think you're missing the point.

i never said KG wasn't wrong for saying that

i'm just saying that charlie v did more damage by making it public, and that it was completely unnecessary and pointless.

really, i'm sure there are much much worse things that are said on the court between NBA players on a regular basis.

btw, having one similar symptom does not make 2 afflictions comparable.

Eh, it's not like he told the Detroit Free Press. He stated it on Twitter. People do that all the time on Twitter. 90% of the stuff on Twitter is unnecessary crap that is probably better off not being said. In this particular case, mostly because I think KG is a douche, I'm glad Villanueva said something. It's a shitty thing to say to someone.

And I never said cancer and alopecia were comparable to an extent that they have the same exact symptoms, but that's how KG made the comparison (at least I would assume so?). So the lack of hair makes them comparable in that way (obviously).

Bucks win without Bogut tonight.

Salmons had 22 and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute starting for Bogut had 10 pts and 15 boards. Always nice to win a division game on the road.
