Sit/Start Week 7

Pretty straightforward...

Rivers at NE

Orton vs Oak

I've started Rivers every week this season so far, but given Orton's consistent success, and the opponents, this is the first week I've given strong consideration to sitting Rivers. Thoughts?

Pick 2 for WR position: 0.5 PPR league

Hakim Nicks @ Dallas- To me, this is a lock

Marques Colston vs Cle- Marques has sucked this year

Roy Williams (Dal) vs NYG- 3 TDs in last 2 games

Danny Woodhead @ SD- Yes! That's right! Danny Woodhead. He is WR/RB, so I can use him at WR. I picked him up 2 wks ago, and I think he might be ready.

Call me crazy, but I'm thinking Nicks and Woodhead

Pick three for a non-PPR league:

Randy Moss, Min vs GB

Devone Bess, Mia vs Pit

Lance Moore, NO vs Cle

Mike Sims-Walker vs KC

Steve Johnson, Buf vs Bal

Free Agent options at this point include Hester, A. Armstrong, Amendola, Tate, Avant, and Houshmandzadeh.

While he has been hit-or-miss, losing DJax really hurts.

I'd go Moss, Bess, and Moore. Possibly pick up Avant for 1 week but not sure he will be better than the 1st 3.

Ok, with my QB (Schaub) on a bye, I'm starting either Josh Freeman or Kevin Kolb. I'm debating swinging for the fences with a Freeman/Winslow combo at QB/TE and hoping for double points. Good idea, bad idea? I dont know. I'm in third place despite 3 of my main guys either being out for the year (Ryan Grant, JerMichael Finley) or playing for Norv Turner (Ryan Matthews).

The Titans' defensive weakness is the pass defense. With DJax healthy, I'd say definitely go Kolb, but I think the Titans can contain them a bit better with Maclin being the only deep threat.

Since you have Winslow, I'd lean toward Freeman probably.

With Calvin Johnson and Garcon out, my 2nd and 3rd WRs are a mess.

Pick 2:

Louis Murphy @ Den

Sims-Walker @ KC

Jason Avant @ TEN (can pick up on waivers)

Michael Jenkins v. CIN (can pick up on waivers)

Brandon Tate would be dropped if I picked up Avant or Jenkins. FWIW, Kolb is my QB.

In all honesty I might go Avant and Sims-Walker. Those are probably the two weakest pass defenses of the four and the Raiders will probably look to run the ball with Kyle Boller likely starting at QB.

It's tough call, though, so you might want to look to somebody better at it than me.

I need about 8 points in a non-PPR league. Do I go with Felix Jones or Brandon Jacobs? I'm leaning toward Jones because he'll get the majority of his team's carries, but one touchdown by Jacobs will nearly get what I need.

Also, Darren McFadden got me 43 points this week. I hate that I left him on my bench in one of my two leagues.

I got all "smart" and took him out of my starting lineup during halftime of the early games...*sigh*

I went through names such as Danny Woodhead, Justin Forsett, Ronnie Brown, Jonathan Stewart and LeGarrette Blount in an attempt to get McFadden on the bench in the league I started him. The injury had me very concerned about whether he'd even play, much less be effective.

I ended up going with the Bradshaw/Jacobs duo in the other league I have McFadden in.

McFadden and Britt were both sitting on the bench in my league. hehe.

Let's see if they can do it again. Both solid players, especially McFadden. But neither is doing it again. Britt might get 7 points next game.

Britt has the talent to keep being awesome (not that awesome, though, obviously). He just needs to remember how to catch the football.
