The only thing more annoying than Notre Dame being bad is the fact that people are willing to ignore that fact long enough to rank the team that just beat them all the time.

How many 3-0 teams are there that have beaten a BCS opponent though?

26, plus Fresno and Boise who have a BCS win at 2-0.

so MSU is ranked 25th. I dont think it is a stupid ranking at this point. Like I said their defense will bring them down eventually.

Delay of game penalties rarely get called if the ball is snapped within a couple of seconds after the clock hits zero. And considering this was an apparent FG attempt with the back judge repositioned, that might delay the call even further.

Your first sentence just isn't true. And I'd be less annoyed by it had they not flagged ND for 2 delay penalties early in the game.

Like I said, Kelly made some real head scratchers and ND turned the ball over almost every time they didn't score. ND had a chance to blow the game open early and didn't. It's just frustrating to have an obvious penalty on the last play not called and then the blown called excused by a conference. The difference between lining up a 46-yarder and a 51 yarder is pretty huge right there.

I was at a party and nobody had a real rooting interest in the game. Everybody immediately screamed for a delay of game.

I thought it was real obvious.

Decent enough game for Tennessee Saturday considering we lost by 2 touchdowns. We played much better in the second half against Florida than we did against Oregon, but still not well enough to win a big game.

Matt Simms is clearly nothing but a placeholder, but there's simply no way Tyler Bray could hold up for a full season. Tauren Poole is a really good running back and this offensive line is going to be really, really good once the 5 freshmen and sophomores become juniors and seniors.

I still think this team can win 6 games. UAB, Memphis and Vandy should all be wins, with Ole Miss, Georgia and Kentucky as real possibilities for wins. South Carolina is always good for a clunker or two (or more) every year.

I'm having a hard time remembering a game under Kirk Ferentz with such awful special teams. Michigan in '01 blocked two punts but overall this had to have been the worst. The o-line was everything I was afraid they'd be before the season. 2 of those final sacks were just from being slow and lazy though. Robinson looked like he was afraid to be on the field the entire night and of course Jewel had to get hurt when he was looking good.

After the Binns TD I was convinced we were going to win that game. It seemed so much like PSU last year. I expected the defense to come out energized, get pressure, make some plays and then have Stanzi lead a game-winning drive. Instead somehow they get beat over the top for what 40-50 yards on the first play? Then you still have them 2nd and 16 but have a breakdown and a 3 yard crossing route turns into 15 yards because everyone has dropped too deep. We get the ball back and have 2nd and 3 from the 43 and don't even get a pass off. My God.

I don't get why people think that's awesome. He's an ahole who decided to assault somebody. That's cool?

Obviously it's not good that he's apparently imbalanced, but it was two mascots fighting, of course that's funny.

Two mascots fighting is funny, but that is not what was being applauded, people are applauding a guy for coming up with a scheme to start a fight.

a fight between two mascots in which one gets tackled and punched in his fat mascot face twice. this isn't a plot to kill the president. everyone involved is going to wake up tomorrow just fine.

maybe. the guy stated he only tried out for the mascot so he could start a mascot fight with the buckeye. That's stupid, yes. But the actions are not particularly harmful to anyone and the result is pretty funny.
