But in typical fashion, the woman is getting harrassing phone calls from fans despite Rainey admitting to the officer that he did indeed send the "time to die" text.

I feel bad for Keith Smith and Purdue. If the NFL labor situation gets sorted out, he may be headed to the NFL instead of coming back to Purdue. And for an offense that a lot of people were very optimistic about prior to the season, losing a star WR when the passing game has struggled to reach its potential is a huge blow.

So KU is putting out really high-quality insider looks at its football team. Kind of a Hard Knocks with a hint of Friday Night Lights.

I don't expect anyone to care enough to watch it. But I was curious, is this common? Are other schools doing it? It's KU's first season with it, and I'm trying to figure out if we're behind the curve or among the first.

I watched the first one and was pretty impressed. We're definitely not doing anything like that here at Mizzou.

Didn't watch the KU one yet, but Iowa is doing something that sounds similar for recruits.

edit: Not the same thing at all, but still cool.

We're in the process of putting out something like that for all our sports. Football already kind of has one at http://www.wearemizzou.com

edit: ha, made by the same people. no wonder they look so similar.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, 16.2% of Urban Meyer's players have either been arrested or faced at least one criminal charge. They're doubling the rate of players at Northwestern who fail to graduate.

That's 30 arrests in 5 years to just 1 over the last 5 years at Miami.

Go Gators!

Between the arrests at Florida and the indiscretions at USC, I'm starting to think that educating student-athletes may not be the top priority for some of these institutions.

win at all costs. one thing i credit your irish for not doing, notre dame at least has a sense of dignity in terms of being an academic institution. players attend class and don't get arrested.

these schools have a couple down years, fire their coaches, bring in new ones and tell them that they don't care how it gets done, as long as it does. florida will eventually pay.

Is there a list of the arrests? I think the college arrest numbers can be misleading. Some places are going to have a lot of underaged drinking related violations count while no one is wasting their time on that in Miami.
