That was a bad call but Alabama is about 15 times better than Penn State so it won't matter.

it's bad timing for this game for sure. Too many good players gone from last year for PSU. Hopefully they can keep it close and stay healthy

Kick the [expletive] field goal, Kelly. You'd think after 5 years of Charlie Weis going for it on 4th downs in field goal range, he'd have known better.

Denard Robinson is absolutely insane. Last year, Forcier tore up an ND defense making a ton of mistakes and blowing coverages. For the most part, that wasn't the case today. Robinson just ripped them apart. The defense did just about everything they were capable of doing. Except for biting on a couple of those fake run-turned-quick-pass plays, they did what they could.

If there was any such thing as karma, ND wins that game. Michigan made a ton of mental and physical errors, mostly on defense, but ND wasn't good enough to take advantage. I was drinking the kool-aid a bit early on, but this is probably a 7 or 8-win team unless they catch some breaks.

Brian Kelly is a really good coach, but it's clear he doesn't have the talent yet, or at least the talent hasn't matured. I'm so glad ND lost. But I have a crappy feeling they are going to be very good within the next couple of years and that sucks ass.

ND is going to be awesome in the next couple of years. Kelly is a good coach. He made a terrible decision by not kicking the field goal at the end of the 1st half, but he's quality.

At that point, he didn't know Crist was going to be back in the 2nd half. How could he be sure he'd ever be on that side of the 50 again.

Wish I could have seen the game with 60 minutes of Crist instead of Rees and Montana throwing picks on the wrong side of the field. If Crist can stay healthy, we'll be an 8-win team against this schedule, I think.

And the secondary and offensive line weren't strong points last year, let alone now after they graduated some starters.

Crist missed half the games, Andy. Jesus. And 8-9 wins would be great for this team.

I thought that there was the talent to be a bit better than 8-9 wins against a weaker than usual schedule. But I also wasn't counting on Michigan being that good (this week anyway).

And obviously Crist missed half the game, but the door was open to win that game if a couple things broke differently. But they didn't. Michigan was a little better today.

Dear Penn State linemen/linebackers: if you and two others on your team wind up running unblocked next to each other towards the quarterback, it's probably a screen, and you're probably screwing up.

Crist missed half the game, but he wasn't a world beater when he was in the game. They had some great drives and some big plays, but Crist has to become more accurate with his passes. His throws left a lot to be desired. I agree though. ND had all the momentum going into the 4th quarter. It almost felt like Michigan was losing by 10 points in the 2nd half.

Whats funny is that because of VT and Georgia losing, and Michigan being #26 in the AP last week, Michigan will probably be ranked next week, ensuring that they are ranked at some point every season in the last 45045948 years. Most will remember that UM was ranked for a couple of weeks between beating ND and losing to MSU last season. Most forget that Michigan was ranked #25 in the AP preseason poll the year before before losing to Utah and going 3-8.

I don't think it was that horrible to not kick the FG....either you are down by 1 score or two scores going into halftime. It's a bit of a risk and I understand why some would rather kick the FG but I wouldnt have. Of course if they score a TD there and go on to win the game by less than 4 points, Kelly made a wise decision there and its barely a topic of discussion after the game.

It shouldn't have been an issue whatsoever. The Michigan defense should be ashamed of themselves for giving up that play to put ND on the 2 yard line with 6 seconds left.

ULM hanging with Arkansas for a half. I'm very proud of the effort from the Warhawks so far.

Weird day for sure. ULM's defense is surprisingly stout in their own territory. that 3-3-5 alignment is proving effective. Of course, it doesn't matter if they can't move the ball on what looks to be a much improved Arkansas offense.

And it's official...the "top" 5 teams in the ACC are now 3-6 on the season with their wins being against Samford, South Carolina State, and Florida A&M. Wow.

You don't see a difference between the team with Crist and either Rees or Montana? Crist marched the team down the field for scores on his first 3 possessions. His bomb to Rudolph was perfect. He is not as accurate as Clausen last year, no doubt. But he's got less than 2 full games played so far.

And much like last year, I expect the UM QB to be hurt by the end of the year as the wheels fall off. Robinson can't take that many hits every game.

Of course I saw a difference. Believe me I spent the first half waiting and waiting for Crist to come back. That's not the same as saying that game was winnable even considering that circumstance.
