Cubs' record setting EPIC FAIL 8th inning

For those who missed it:

Rockies scored 12 runs in the 8th

Sent 18 batters to the plate

Had 11 straight hits

Sent 14 men to the plate with 2 outs

When the inning ended Clint Barmes was on deck. If he had come up, it would have been his THIRD at bat in the inning.

BLOW THIS TEAM UP, PLZ

So by blow this team up you mean get rid of Marshall and Cashner, right? Because they are the ones that pretty much gave up all the damage with a little help from Schlitter.

If that is the plan I am sure Hendry can find plenty of takers.

so does this make us sellers?

it was the rockies last year that just destroyed our hopes of any type of come-back, after the break lst year we were starting to come around then we hit this series. I hate the Rockies.

I am now thankful my wife had to work and we could make it to the game

If it was Schlitter, Howry, Berg, and the usual suspects, ID just be able to laugh about it, but the fact that is was Marshall and Cashner saddens me.

Much like this year, it was the Cubs who destroyed our hopes of any type of come-back.

We always seem to have memorable games (for both good and bad reasons) against the Rockies. It seems like about 1 game a year between the 2 going all the way back to that crazy finish in 2001 has something memorable about it.
