I don't know if this should be in Other Sports or Social, but here goes:

 

Has anyone ever used any of those extremely cheap sports jersey websites? The ones who claim to be wholesalers from China or whatever else? I want to get a few Blackhawks jerseys with the Stanley Cup patch, but would rather spend the $50 than $185 at a retail store. So, any experiences you've had with any of these websites would be of help.

 

Particularly list the website and how the product compared to the real thing you would buy at Dick's or NFLShop or whatever would be of great help. Thanks!

I bought a Hossa jersey off of jersey101.com (which seems to be getting reworked right now). No complaints from me at all. Looks great, though I don't have any idea how it compares to the real thing. If I get a chance over the next few days I'll take some pics and post them. I got my Hossa jersey for $45ish. Took a few weeks, but it was worth it.

I have used jersey101 for mlb, nfl, and nhl jerseys. I have a Toews Winter Classic (the name font is off on the back name plate) that I have worn literally 50 times in the past 3 months.

 

I got an email from jersey101 that said while the site is down, that I should use http://www.tarajersey.com

 

It looks to be exactly the same thing

Thanks for posting that new link. I see they sell individual patches. Might pick one of those up and have it sewn on my Hossa jersey

 

Edit: though it seems you can't add it to the cart because there is no size to select and that fucks it up

It takes a while to get to you(upwards of 2 weeks), and the purchase process definitely feels scammy, but the product itself is top notch.

Thinking about buying a Blues jersey from the site, but have never had a hockey jersey. How do they fit? If I wear an XL in most shirts should I order an XL or get one a size bigger?

When ordering from these sites, I'd always order a size bigger. In my experience, they run a little small

Don't get a size bigger for a hockey jersey. They're bigger than a normal shirt. I actually got a size smaller for mine.

I am about to order some Christmas presents from http://www.supplyjerseyss.com. I went to a Bears game watching party down here and a lady there told me about the site. She was wearing a legit Walter Payton jersey with sewn on name/numbers and the NFL Equipment patch on the neckline. She said she got it from this site. I am a bit hesitant to order because it looks fishy as hell, but she swore it was all good. She didn't seem like she was at all associated with the site, either. I am a bit concerned about the sizes, though. I may go a size up.

Yeah, there are a bunch of misspelled words and misnamed teams. These are coming from southeast Asia, it appears. I would go strictly off the pictures. Oh, shipping is $20 so it's more cost effective for you to buy several at once. They add insurance too, but for 6 jerseys I was looking at right around $150.

I have a Payton I got from Ebay for like $30 that is about as authentic as I have ever seen. I also got a Forte from jersey101.com, which looks ok. All sewn.

I went to a few of the jersey websites I'm aware of today (borntrade.net is the only one that comes to mind) and they shut down with an ICE logo.
