They guessed 9000. Guess the attendance game is brutal - more appropriately, I guess the way they announce attendance is brutal.

I've had Waffle House more times sober than not, and it's glorious.

I'm with you. The best part of any drive to the south is seeing that first Waffle House shining like a beacon on the side of the road.

Maybe I should give it a try sans Jack Daniels.

Baker's mug on Gamecast looks like one of those airbrush jobs from the '70s Topps "Traded" sets.

Why isn't Kosuke in?

Eveland is a LH starter. Or are you asking why he's not in RF instead of Colvin?

Na I meant in the 7th with a 4 run lead for defense. I assumed we would have both he and Colvin in.

to anyone that's just reading this thread to find out toe result of the game: Cubs won 6-1.

you wouldn't know it by reading the thread.

Hold on a second...you are saying the Cubs won a game thanks to its stopper Carlos Silva, preventing them from getting swept in Pittsburgh for the year? LOL. How gullible can you be? This season is obviously a fake.

Maybe this is the point we'll all look back on as the champagne flows through the Cubs clubhouse this fall.

If not, it at least feels damn good to finally win in Pitt.

Silva (8-0) gave up four hits, struck out five and walked one in his first start against Pittsburgh since 2003, all while pitching with an apparent case of the stomach flu that resulted in several hurried trips to the restroom.

"I tried to put that out of my mind," Silva said. "I just tried to go there and make my pitches."

They tried to kill him via Primanti, but it didn't work.

If he can't handle Primanti's, he shouldn't be in the major leagues.

This is true. And from the looks of Mr. Silva, the problem was probably he couldn't handle Primanti's x 4.
