1st Time in the Bleachers at Wrigley Questions

Hi I have a group of four going to the Cubs vs Angels game on June 19. We are all from Minnesota but like to try and get to Wrigley every couple of years. Everytime I have been there we have sat somewhere in the diamond view. This time we got tickets in the outfield GA. I have a couple of questions I hope somebody can help me with:

1. To get four good seats in left together (Don't need front row or anything) Just a place to have a couple Old Styles and have a good time taking in Wrigley what time do we need to be there? I understand the gates open 2 hours before first pitch do we have to get there then? Do we have to get in line before they open?

2.. Where is the best place to be before and after the game?

Thanks in advance to anybody willing to help

You will want to be there at least 30 minutes before the gates open.

That's way too late. The line will be all the way down the wall by then.

If you want your pick of bleacher seats, original poster, be there as early as possible. The later you get there, the longer the line will be and the more people there will be who get in before you do and start reducing the number of available seats.

I've only sat in the bleachers once, and it was in right field in the last row up against the fencing (made for a nice backrest). Judging from just that one time, I was convinced that one would be hard pressed to find a lot of bad seats in the bleachers, the view are great everywhere. I paid over $200 to sit 9 rows back from home plate, and got some free tickets to the bleachers two days later. Even if I had to pay for the bleacher seats, I'd take the bleachers 9 times out of 10. It was awesome.

i regret getting bleachers on that preseason 9 pack. There are so many complete morons that no nothing about the game. It's really sad how many fights there are as well.

Getting there early to stand in line is annoying as well.

I did that in 2008 with bleachers. I like sitting in the bleachers once in awhile, but after the 4th or 5th game, I wish I had a different vantage point and could sit on the other side of the park. The people don't bother me though...you gotta expect a big contingent of "lets get drunk and have a good time" fans when the Cubs suck this badly.

What's sad is that i now know why so many Sox, Cards, etc etc etc fans think Cubs fans are the worst in baseball. Its because its true. Id rather have 15k there who care whether the team wins or loses than 38k who are there to only get drunk.

The idiots' money spends just as well as the true fans'.

obviously it has helped the product on the field.

Last year they were allowing everyone, including those with bleacher tickets, to enter in through the Captain Morgan Club at the same time as they opened the gates in the rest of the park. Most of the fans didn't know about this, and thus there would only be five-ten people in line there. I don't know if they're still doing that, but if they are it would be a great alternative to the bleacher line.
