how obvious is the bunt after the coach comes to talk to him like that?

 

You know, you'd think in the MAJOR LEAGUES they'd have signals for squeeze bunts and safety squeezes and all sorts of things. I guess not.

the cubs are doing a nice job of getting around lou's overmanaging this half inning.

 

the problem is the meatheads will credit the steals and bunts and stuff for igniting the offense.

Silva continues to be one of my favorite Cubs of all-time. Getting rid of Milton would have put him in this category anyway, but the gravy is so nice to savor.

Muskat says the last Cub with two triples was Jose Macias 5/14/04 at San Diego.
