Ted Lilly pitching in Texas with the weather heating up could be very very bad. Im not looking forward to this game

The forecast for Arlington tomorrow night is low 80s/high 70s at the start of the game with decent humidity. It's not that hot and dry yet.

is a brutal 2-6 to have to face in Arlington. All have between a .947 and 1.200 OPS in their home park. And Andrus is getting on base at will in the leadoff spot.

The Cubs better have their hitting shoes on this weekend.

For the record, idiots, I would have just as soon not made a game thread this early.

I would just assume not doing one at all but it's a mute point because I didn't sign up to start one even though I definately could of.

I am not looking forward to hearing the theme music to "The Natural" every time a Ranger goes deep this weekend. I remember how annoying that was in 2007.

At least we don't have to worry about Sosa hitting a milestone HR against us.

I consider myself a pretty close follower of baseball but I haven't heard of any of the 3 guys Texas is throwing at us this weekend.

then you probably should not consider yourself a pretty close follower of baseball

Not even C.J Wilson? He's was in the top 2 in ERA for the AL until he got shelled by the Angels in his last start. I think he was also a very good closer last year but that might have been someone else.

Heard the name but know nothing about him. I suppose it's a result of the fact that I don't follow the AL very closely except for Fantasy purposes.

Anyways, score runs Cubs.

So we're going to DH Nady against the only right hander we face this weekend? Poor Colvin.

i think the cubs only use their hitting shoes against the brewers.

Or the Diamondbacks bullpen. With or without Howry, take your pick.

Colvin cannot be used as a defensive replacement later on if he is the DH. That said, I don't see why Lou couldn't put him in LF and use Soriano as the DH.
