Anyone watching the World Championships to see how Rose's new three ball is looking? Is he showcasing it at all?

 

He's hit a few, missed a few. Hasn't shot more than 1-2 a game. My guess is he's made about 50% of what he's taken, which is good but obviously a tiny sample size.

It's also a poor indicator, since the international 3-point line is so much shorter than the NBA 3-point line.

I'm sure Denver would love Luol Deng at that contract for 3 years. Especially with a lockout pending that will reel in salaries.

Agree about Deng. I like the guy, but nobody wants him or his contract. To think that Deng was supposedly a sticking point in a possible Kobe deal a few years back. Hilarious.

 

I'm sure Denver would be very happy to score Noah. But I'm not so keen on the deal unless we can keep Noah, Rose and Boozer. Plus, I'm not as high on Melo as everyone else seems to be. You'd have to pay him like Kobe and LeBron, and he's certainly not as good.

 

Maybe the Bulls don't have the goods to score Melo, but at the same time, Denver risks losing him for nothing. Maybe the Bulls don't have to give up so much.

i think this was the widely-held belief before some really bad players got a ton of money this off-season.

 

deng is certainly a more than capable player. overpaid, yes, but saying he's got negative value is insane.

watching the world championships and they're talking about the americans having to neutralize the athleticism of russia.

 

sasha kaun is starting at center for russia. wasn't he the orphan that was mailed back to russia with a note on his shirt by the american mom?

Even with horrible teams with max contracts available this past offseason, nobody on Deng's level got the kind of money he's locked up for for the next 80 years.

Joe Johnson is on the books for 6 more years and $119 million.

Luol Deng has 4 more years and $51 million.

 

 

It's not terrible. Deng is a solid player. Not a great contract, but certainly could be worse.
