Korver seems like a pretty solid pickup.

And, about the LeBron situation:

Cleveland fans watched him do so many ridiculous things over the past few years that shouldn't have made this a big surprise. But, as Cleveland fans, it's rarely big picture. That's why I like this board so much. The game threads cause such ridiculous reactions. It reminds me of most Cleveland fans.

We watched him wear a Yankees hat to an Indians' playoff game. We watched him sit on the court and whine and grimace at least 30-40 times per year as the trainer came out and had to give him medical attention. We watched fake limps suddenly heal themselves as he chased down a player on the other team to get a block. We watched him shut down when games got difficult the past two years. We listened to him answer questions about going to New York or staying in Cleveland, and soaking up every single ounce of the attention.

But, no one really cared. Sure, it was annoying, but Cleveland finally had the player. We finally had the guy that other fans hated just because he was so damn good. We finally had our Michael Jordan. To top it all of, he was from Akron. The true home grown hero.

I never thought he'd actually leave. I spent the past few years confidently telling people that he would stay. But, I also said that I'd understand if he left.

The ridiculousness that was the past week is infuriating to even think about. The lack of respect he showed the Cleveland organization throughout this entire process is mind boggling. Sure, more needs to be done with the team. But, we finally have a passionate owner who will pay luxury tax and sell his soul to win a title.

And, the nerve to get on national TV and announce it. It isn't necessarily that he was in the wrong for what he actually did as it is baffling that he would be so naive not to see what type of reaction this would get. Or, maybe he just didn't care.

He's been a model citizen since he entered the league. He hasn't gotten himself into trouble and has been very PC about everything. I just, absolutely, positively can't comprehend this. I've went from a huge LeBron fan to almost hoping that at some point we see another Tiger Woods situation.

I'm only 23 and I've already been mentally exhausted (sports wise) by being a Cleveland fan. Yes, I'm bitter, and that wont change anytime soon. I'm not naive enough to think LeBron wont almost certainly win a few titles with that team, but I can honestly say that I wish him nothing but the worst, professionally.

Rose is a worse point guard than Deron Williams. You can admit it, Red Flash. Who cares if Rose is younger? He isn't better yet.

And I love the Korver signing. Nice bargain. Need another 2.

Not sure about Deng for Iguadala. You'd certainly need another shooter then.

1: I will only admit that Rose is a step behind and he's closing the gap, FAST. I'll leave at that.

2: Same here.

3: I take Iggy over Deng even if means losing Gibson. But the only pause to that deal is that I don't want either Kapano or Green.

Name: Steve L

On ESPN last night, they were wondering what the nickname for the new trio of free agents in Miami should be. I vote for ...

1. The Sisterhood of the Traveling That's Never Called

2. The Fly Girls

3. The Unholy Trinity

4. Florida's Second-Best NBA Team

and my personal favorite ...

5. The Nazgul

The Nazgul were the characters in "Lord of the Rings" that were former kings who turned into demons that were constantly chasing the ring. It completely consumed them and robbed them of their humanity. I think this sums up the situation in Miami.

Rose is not better than Paul or Williams right now. The only viable argument is that he may be more valuable per dollar paid than any point guard, and even then it's close.

LOL, the Nazgul, I love it.

I suppose this makes LeBron the Witch-King of Akron.

A bit on Chicago Now with some of the better tweets from last night: LINK

So LeBron is gonna stab whoever has the ring so he can get his?

Alright, close it up, nobody's topping that one.

Are you kidding me, SSR? Gimme a break. I didn't say Rose was better, all I said was Rose wasn't a "worse point guard." If you are talking about "worse point guard" I assume you are talking about guys like Toney Douglas, Baron Davis, Andre Miller, Rajon Rondo, Jameer Nelson, etc. Derrick is a step behing Deron, just like Deron is a step behind Chris Paul, but Derrick has the talent to at least reach Deron Williams status, if not surpass it.

I agree with you completely.

You agree with what??? That you too don't understand the definition of worse?

Long time lurker, but I figured this was as good as time to start posting. Sorry if this was already posted, but I found this on another board I visit. I think it adds more fuel to the fire if true.

Chris Broussard said on ESPN Friday that a big reason that LeBron James didn't sign with the Bulls is that they didn't offer enough perks for LeBron's family and friends.

One of LeBron's buddies was hired by the Cavaliers and he wanted his entourage to be able to travel on the Bulls' tab, but the team, according to Broussard, said 'we didn't do that for Michael Jordan, so we're not doing it for you.'

Is anyone watching ESPN2 right now?

I don't know if I should admit to it but yeah....

What's funny is that if the Bulls got LeBron and Bosh, the introduction would be so vanilla. Probably not much different than Boozers today.

Hadn't seen that anywhere yet, that's not that bad of a request.

holy [expletive] i hate miami fans. theres not a less deserving bunch than those clowns.

There are like 4 die hard Heat fans. It's only fitting this happened to a team with so much bandwagon room, in a place with so many fickle people.

I don't buy that. I don't think that would keep LeBron from signing a deal of this magnitude if he thought Chicago was the best place for him to go. From everything I heard, LeBron made his decision by himself. Reinsdorf was interviewed today and he said the only thing LeBron demanded was his own personal trainer and Reinsdorf agreed to it.

That Mike Beasley Sr. tweet is too much. I love how this Delonte West situation went from being a really weird, seemingly untrue rumor to fact so quickly. I don't know if it's possible to get tired of jokes making fun of batspit crazy Delonte West with LBJ's mom.

Don't necessarily believe it myself. At least I'd hope that wouldn't be the main reason he'd wouldn't sign with the Bulls or any other team for that matter. But, with a lot of athletes I guess you never know.

The only reason the Jazz aren't contending for championships is because they have no one that can control the paint. That's a huge difference between the Bulls and the Jazz.

They certainly execute better on offense than the Celtics, Lakers, Cavs (of last year), and Orlando.
