The Bulls have done everything they could have to get a big name guy. If all they are left with is Boozer, I really can't be angry at Bulls management.

Unless it's true that they told LeBron his crew wouldn't get special privileges

Team executive hears that if LeBron re-signs with Cavs he might ink 2-yr deal and go through this madness again in 2012. Never know

Isola is a bad source to be quoting, and I really doubt James will settle for a 2 year deal. I could see him signing a 6 year deal with an opt out after 3, but not a straight up 2 yr deal. Not to mention what kind of asshat would James be if he convinces Bosh to come to Cleveland and then bolt after two years?

I agree with the Bulls on that.

Lebron's not going to decide what he should do based on how it might hurt poor Bosh's feelings 2 years down the road.

Well, you shouldn't.

Bosh's twitter-

Today is a GREAT day!

considering how quiet his twitter has been the last few days, i feel like that has to mean something.

Then why would he based his decision on staying with Cleveland on the basis it would hurt the people of Cleveland feelings?

Jordan didn't need "special privileges" for his boys back in the day to win championships, neither does James. If he wants to stay in Cleveland fine, but Reinsdorf isn't going to give James that kind of power, when he didn't give that power to Jordan.

He's an attention whore, so I doubt it means anything.

I think the possies are much bigger nowadays. If Reinsdorf keeps the biggest FA in the history of sports from signing with his team because he doesn't want to give LeBron's buddies special priviledges he is a stupid owner. And Reinsdorf is not a stupid man.

because that's been his home and family his entire life. Huge difference.

Not that I think lebron will necessarily sign a shorter term deal. I also doubt it. But I can't believe he's going to tip toe around what other players would think of him.

If you want to give James' boy jobs or whatnot within the organization, so be it. If you allow them to ride on the same plan as the team (albeit they have to ride coach, while the team/org is first class), so be it. If you want to give his boys a suite at game. Cool. But if you go beyond that by giving his crew power by proxy (rumors have it that his boys have power within the Cavs org even if James isn't around), meaning dictate organization policies, and whatnot, then I would have tell him no, and not regret it.

I don't see James doing that to Bosh, I really don't.

Yeah, I doubt LeBron's posse is doing much of anything to dictate important organizational policy.

Not good, if true. I was half hoping that they somehow worked out a S&T for Bosh to Cleveland and we jumped on signing Boozer. Then that would leave Wade to decide on staying in Miami and maybe getting David Lee or coming to Chicago with Rose, Boozer, Deng (unless traded), Noah.

If lebron resigns, I expect Bosh to Miami with Wade, us to get Boozer, and the Nets to pick up Lee. Not the end of the world, but still a big disappointment.

That sounds very contradictory, imo. If you can't land Bosh how are you going to convince James to stay with essentially the same team that got eliminated by Boston. Not to mention this would Bosh is likely heading to either Chicago or Miami with Wade, and Boozer ending up in New Jersey. James would still have to get past that same Boston team, a very good Orlando team, improving Chicago and Miami teams and still relatively young and talent Hawks team, all the while your team did nothing to get you some help.

Yeah, that doesnt make much sense. Then again, it's also just about the same team that won 60 games two years in a row. Maybe he believes that they just got unlucky/were in a slump in the playoffs or something. Who knows, but loyalty seems to be pretty important to him and that might just keep him at home.

OR it could just be an incorrect rumor. Either way.

Don't know how that's contradictory. Lebron and Bosh are different people. Cleveland can get one without the other. Plus, who says Cleveland would be done? If they can get LeBron and Bosh, they can get Lebron and Boozer or Lee or they could get Ray Allen and a C like Haywood.

Well can they get a S&T done for Boozer? Or is that bridge burned because of the way he left Cleveland?

I can't imagine the Knicks would want to help Lebron stay by S&Ting Lee to them. They could use a player like Varejao though...so could the Jazz.

If you subscribe to the theory that Lebron only wants to stay on a team that can get a genuine 2nd banana then it makes a lot of sense.

They're not getting Ray Allen or Haywood for the MLE either. MAYBE Hayward if they pull a Bosh trade out of their butt and he wants to chase a ring. I think he wants to get paid though.
